Nonetheless, can you play an instrument? How well? I can play a piano a bit.

I've played bass for about 7 and a half years, guitar off and on for about 5, and keyboard very rarely for about 3.

I was in the school band from 5th grade 'til the end of 12th.

I can play the guitar pretty good im better than most people i know who play instruments, I grew up around differnt instruments my dad played in band so I'd have to say I've been playing since i could hold and instrument even if it sounded like shit.

Either you play bass or you don't. It's obviously not that great of a priority to you, as you claim you "don't have the time to practice," as you spend time on the internet doing nothing.

No. Just pointing out that you say you play bass, but never have time to practice.

Well, you obviously have enough time to lurk the NG BBS and post, so bam, there's some free time I'm seeing right there.

What I then went on to point out is that on your list of priorities, bass obviously isn't very high up, if you frequently visit ye olde internets, while your instrument sits in the corner collecting dust.

IE: It's kind of like being pregnant - you can't be "kind of" pregnant, just the same as you can't "kind of" be a musician.

I've been playing trumpet since I was in 5th grade, so that's about 7 years now. I also tried to learn guitar, but I never gave it the time and effort required to actually learn to play it. Though I bet if I tried again, and actually was serious about it, I could pull it off.

My father started teaching me piano but I thought it was gay, He was in his band. So during my middle school year we learned to play the grandpa gutiar, learn a bit of the according at the time, went to percussion at 8th an ened up in the marching band in High school. Learned the ocarina too.
