As per the actual topic of discussion, if those people want to be paid for their contributions, they should say so upfront. Then if you can't pay them, they should say "ok, well, I only do this for pay, so goodbye" and that's it. That really should be the end of the whole stupid issue. If they want to get paid and you don't want to pay them, then you guys can't work together obviously, all the childish nonsense I'm seeing here will only serve to hurt your NG reps and ability to work with respectable people in the future, not to mention ultimately resulting in me locking this thread and/or banning people.

There's your resolution, don't work together because it's obvious that you guys can't get along, just let the issue drop and find some people you can work with.
