Audio Problems!

Right.

I just finished a mix which required a lot of BPM changes. To combat that, I saved them as four different tracks, which I then blended together with first Acoustica and then Audacity. Newgrounds is telling me the file is not a valid mp3.

To be clear:

Yes, it is sampled at 44.1.
Yes, it is less than 8mb.
Yes, I have run the finished product through Audacity. Several times.

The bitrate is 128. There shouldn't be any problems, but I am unfortunately stuck.

Anyone got anything for me? Much appreciated!

maybe, its the bit rate, though i wouldnt know since NG doesnt say anything about that

I ahve exactly the same problem, and ive tried 3 diffrent bitrates. None work. This is like a /bump :P

I get the same thing when I try to convert stuff with Audacity too. Something about Audacity's settings I guess. I don't know how to fix that, so you might as well just try and convert it with another one

Hmmm, I haven't really played around with this but when your converting a WAV to MP3 in audacity doesn't it give you 2 different options of MP3 to convert to (ID3v1 and ID3v2). I guess I would try converting to one of each and see if either of these are accepted.

I'm sorry if you've already tried this or it doesn't help. Otherwise, as SBB says, just try a different converter.

Hmm, that's strange. I use audacity for all of my conversion needs.

Which audacity codec are you using? The one that they linked you to here? Or are you using some other one?

I haven't tried Audicity yet, only Easy Media Capture and Wavelab
Should i try it even though it didn't work for the other guy?

Absolutely. I export all my songs using Audacity.

And besides, why not try all the methods available to you?
