I remember when I was younger being in the military was such a good thing. Defending the freedom of this great nation. Protect her and care for her. Then 8 years ago one of the worst leaders in the history of America took power, I say 'took' and we all know why. I am in no way bashing the military or this country. I love this country. I really do I just want to see her being lead in the right direction. Because this war seems neverending it's not a shock that gang members would be joining the military. We are slowly exhausting our resources and need more recruits. Shame too.

I hate how the second someone recommends changing this country they are tagged as a 'liberal faggot'. Wanting to change your country doesn't mean you hate it. It means you want to improve it. I hope my children will live in this country and not fear its leaders and not fear the police state it is becoming. I hope this country goes back to what our forefathers wanted it to be.

Would you rather have gangs runnin around with guns they don't know how to control? The majority of them will shoot randomly at eachother, killing and wounding far more civilians than they need to, and hardly killing eachother off...if you are so against them, you ought to be training them yourself, so that they can do a better job at killing eachother...

If anything, this should increase the killing of gang members (the ones who are the criminals that you hate so much), and decrease the killing of unnaffiliated community members (the ones who suffer from gang violence involuntarily).

I nearly joined the Army in 2006, but I fell in love. I made it so far as MEPS, but they didn't offer many me jobs when I went, despite the fact I scored an 85/90 on the ASVAB. So I waited for a while in case better job opportunities opened up, but ended up dropping the whole thing when I met my ex.
