I understand how scissors can beat paper, and i get how a rock can beat scissors, but there's no fucking way paper can beat rock. is paper supposed to magically wrap around rock and leave in immobile? why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? screw scissors, why can people do this to people? why arent sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating student as they take notes in class? ill tell you why, because paper cant beat anybody, a rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds, when i play rock paper scissors, i always choose rock, then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper i can punch then in the face with my already clenched fist and say "oh shit, im sorry, i thought your paper would protect you, you asshole"

Lol,control your temper. Funny though :D
Paper can't fold around scissors, because a scissor would widen it's mouth as a defence,so if the paper tries to wrap around it at any angle at all,the sharp blades will cut it.
Well, paper could stop rock if it was small enough.. But since it's big enough to break scissors, then that's unlikely.

TIME TO USE WHAT LITTLE INTELLIGENCE I HAVE MANAGED TO ACQUIRE!
Back in the Roman days of coliseums and arena fighting, you may be quite familiar with how when an opponent was knocked down (or out), the ruler decided whether the winner was allowed to execute him or not with either a thumbs up (let him live) or a thumbs down (kill the fucker!)
A similar principle was applied when looking over papers decreeing possible new laws or basic information that needed to be approved by the ruler. If the ruler decided to accept the proposition, he would place it under a rock, "holding down" the deal (setting it in place).
If he DIDN'T accept the proposition, however, he would drape the paper OVER the rock, "defeating" the deal (since the paper would limp over the rock).
That, my friend, is why paper beats rock.

Nope. Thumbs down signaled that he contender's performance was poor and he did not earn the right to fight for another day. Hence, the fucker died.
If it was thumbs up, the king was pleased with the fight and decided that both warriors shall live to fight again.

I'm probably wrong but... Wouldn't the rock "holding down" the proposition as well as the rock being limped over by the paper prove that the rock is superior to paper in both cases?
