Close fit. Couldn't fit small instead of tiny.

So what are the very small things that annoy you in songs?

Personally, it's religious under-tones. There are quite a few exceptions but somtimes, when I get the feeling of religious under-tones in a song, it just puts me off it straight away. An example of religious under-tones is Send Me On My Way's music video. I don't know why, but I just get put off straight away as soon as I see the boy chase after the old man with white wings, then watching the Rusted Roots group smiling and singing.

It just feels like a religious group, the type that try to shove religious views down your neck and tell you convert or they will constantly remind you that you will burn forever in hell. There are exceptions like R.E.M's Losing My Religion, but maybe it's because I prefer a group to not make cheesy music and hide "secret" religious messages.

So, what small little thing annoy you when in songs?

Insisted dialogue to try and make the song humorous or more interesting. Mainly in music videos but they usually throw it onto the CD's track, too which is rather annoying.

Women. What the hell are they doing singing?
They should be entertaining me in the bedroom, not on my radio.

Sounds that have amazing beginnings, then descend into complete shit, forcing me to rewind repeatedly.

Any mention of religion in songs generally annoys me. I started listening to Swedish Music so I don't focus on how gay the lyrics are.

Two things.
In a certain Daft Punk song, I hear a beat that sounds so much like the Windows error sound.

In Weird Al's 'White 'n' Nerdy', when he mentions Limewire, and he's still saying limewire whilst starting the next line (ie overlapping). It's just throws off the song for me.

I hate when artists intentionally sample common ringtones, police sirens, etc. Nothing worse than cruising around town blasting music only to suddenly hear what you think is a cop pulling you over when there's not one actually there.

I hate it when bands get all political, like Green day with American Idiot. Stick to the fucking basics, its better that way.

It sound's like that dosen't it?
Try saying 'Limewire or Kazaa!' and make limewire stretch just enough to reach or without touching it.

When in the middle of a great instrumental, a voice pops up saying some random shit. Like in numerous Pendulum songs.

Sound effects. Jake Burns spoils a perfectly decent cover of "The Green Fields of France" by having gun shots and the like play during it.

In the song 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', the line goes "Well that's one thing we've gots." It pisses me off how they can't just say 'got'.

The religious undertones is a good one. Also what annoys me is when they have a high pitched noise in the song, like when you listen to a really good song but at the very end they want to end with a guitar making a squeal.

I think it's actually illegal to have sirens on the radio.

Songs that basically have two set of lyrics for a song. One PG-13 and one with adult words included. Obviously one can be played on the radio but it's just annoying to me really.

Any type of playing that can't be physically recreated live on a practical instrument, or vocal.

Such as the vocalist singing two things at once in a studio song, a single guitar player playing two tracks, etc.

I don't know why, but I hate it.

When you're listening to a song you know off a CD on the telly, and you know it really well, and it goes like
'Teenagers scare the living -pause- out of me.'
At least do what green day did and say 'fluffed' instead of fucked. It's not changing the whole song, it fits in, and it's all good.

When the lip synching in videos isn't accurate to the song. But it may just be lagging.

One thing for me would have to be as aforementioned the two sets of lyrics, as when downloading the songs I can't stand finding the dubbed versions and having to search for the originals. However one exception would have to be the Arctic Monkeys - Fake Tales of San Francisco.

The original lyrics are "Oh you've saved me she screamed down the line, the band were fucking wank and i'm not having a nice time", so after listening to that hundreds of times on my mp3 player, I find the video of this song (a very rare video), in which the lyrics are "Oh you've saved me she screamed down the line, the band weren't very good and i'm not having a nice time", and I almost died with laughter.

Overuse of "love you", "baby" and "girl" in songs.
