Uf Home Page Design Contest - $20

Hi,
My website Underground Flash has been down for a while and it needs a good home page. I want it to be very simple and made on Flash. So here are the specs.

I want there to be a background like an alley with graffiti, or an underground basement or something that would look cool with underground flash and there will be 2 buttons. One says "Portal: and links to http://www.play.undergroundflash.com and the other is says "Developers Forum" and links to http://www.undergroundflash.com/forum it also must have one of the underground flash logos on it. P.S. Make sure it is in Flash 8 format. Once you win I will need your paypal email and and the fla file. The dimensions don't really matter. Make it big but not too big size is very adjustable.

Liamizdabest, what is it with you on hosting these contests. It doesn't seem as if you can do ANY aspect of your own site. You had a contest for making your logo, your preloader, and now for you home page design. Why don't you go out and do the work yourself. Also, it's not worth only $20.

Why does it have to be called a "Contest"? And for only $20. Just say, Paying $20. Calling it a contest for only $20 is lame.

That's like saying, "The paint my house Contest" , the winner receives a 5 minute break.

I'm pretty sure that even people from India and third world countries would pass on this. LOL

Besides the fact that they don't have internetz, sure.

Anyways, back on topic. $20 is quite small... Why not just pay a lot for a whole website design. I'm not sure how much it would be (a nice amount for sure), but it would be more worth it. Then, everything would match, and there wouldn't be a random homepage that didn't fit in with the rest of the website.

Instead of paying us to do all these little aspects either buy a template or get someone to design all this stuff for you. Professionally I mean.

The prize is still incredibly weak. $50 equals about an hour of work for a graphic designer. If that's all the quality you want, then fine. Get some high school kids to do it. But if you want real designers to even look at this contest, you've got to up the cash. It's kind of insulting.

No, see you don't seem to understand. It's not ONLY that it's not enough money, but it's also the fact that the site is actually not yours. You've spent a little amount of crap money to put together peoples stuff and make it look like it was yours. It's almost like those people who just copy and paste code. Do you think Tom built this site just by paying people to make every graphic and aspect?

well not originaly but i think thats what Tom dose now (he has full time employees though)

anyways yeah, he,s got a good point you should make your own site instead of haveing contest with no promise of being rewarded for your hard work.
