3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI found this neat website a while back where you can use several different shapes and lines to create your own piece of art. Hundreds of thousands have been submitted already by so many people.
I'm encouraging everyone to try and make their own art with the tools provided there and be as creative as you can. You can make anything you like and it doesn't have to be Picasso-themed.
I tried to use all the lines and shapes as effectively as possible for this one. I did post this in another thread of mine, but since it wasn't entirely related to the actual topic, I find it appropriate to submit it again.
Anyway, here's one I made of Samus Aran from Metroid. (duh)
Very cool looking!
it'd be okay/good for "just another photoshop doodle", but nice use of a limited tool.
That is sweet! Since I am a huge Metroid fan is it ok if I make a Samus, just this Samus will be wearing the Omega Fusion Suit.

Yeah, like I said you can make whatever you want. Have fun with it.

Take a look.

I saw this somewhere else, it may or may not have been yours, but I fail to believe that you made this.
Some guy made this, and he also made a Mario and a self-portrait, he claimed that it was an assignment in school.
So yeah, prove it.

Hey, I didn't have much time to make this. It's no where near as good as the one here. Apparently, it says that artist Escudero made the one in the beginning if that is the topic starter's name on that site. Here so here is the link. BTW, I couldn't put the legs all the way to the bottom.
there is love burning to find you, will you wait for me?

I knew eventually someone would question my abilities. I am Escudero, Daniel Escudero to be exact. I realize that I should have used my username as a signature rather than my real name. My bad.
If you've seen the samus pic somewhere else as you say you have, you might be referring to the other thread of mine it was mentioned in.
You could also have seen it directly from
the site. If you want to view the pictures signed by me, type in "Escudero" in the search bar to the left of the canvas and some results should pop up.
That's really all I can say to prove myself, but if you can't accept this as being my accomplishment, then I'm sorry I couldn't make it easier.

D'oh! Now I'm confusing this forum with other ones! Carry on, sorry for the trouble...

Well I'm just gonna say again that it was my work if you still have some skepticism toward it.
I really like it. You're probably more artistic than like 80% of the people on that site. I would say you could have used all the shapes more efficiently, but it's an excellent start for you. Great work.
Anyway, this is the most recent one I made(even though it was about a month ago). It took me a while to decide whether or not to use the thick lines as I did with Samus. Eventually I thought it would be too much so I just used 'em on the body.
Mario.
Mario was awesome, keep it up. Could you possibly do starfox?
I really dig the whole vibe you get with these neat little online app. I don't quite feel like messing around with it, but keep your own works coming please.
I don't understand how you did that with the tool.
This is the version of Kirby I did about a month ago when I was still experimenting.
Unfortunately the scanner picked it up kinda weird and it gave me a sort of file constraint so I was forced to use Photoshop to blur it (I strongly recommend not doing this unless you really have to) in order to avoid making the picture insanely small just to fit the file size limit. I'm not too great with Photoshop so I could sure use some advice.
I made this version of Kirby yesterday. I ditched the thick lines and tried to use much softer shadows but with greater depth.
This was the very first one I made. It's a Picasso-themed self-portrait o' me.

you should try and actually do this by hand.. I guess people didn't believe its your art because technically it isnt. you are using picassos brush stroke to biuld you character in a puzzle like fashion.
granted its very good how you manipulated the pieces, but it isn't amazing.
Just threw this together in like 20 minutes. It's modeled after the Brawl version.
Yoshi.
That is a pretty decent application to have fun with. I think whoever designed it should have at least made the options to change the canvas you could paint on. And i would somewhat have to agree with mindchamber, if you had done that on an actual canvas that would have been amazing. I did a quick 5 minute one, its in the gallery.
Evil spelled backwards is Live and we all want to do that now don't we.
Deny the big lie, don't beLIEve and don't conform.

Yeah..Mindchamber's right. I know these aren't really that impressive. I just wanna see what other people are able create with the few tools they are provided. These would just be some "examples" and what I often do in my spare time.
I was wondering what you signed your's as just so I could look it up real quick in the gallery. I really wanna see what ya did.
Anyway...I was just experimenting with the clone stamp tool thingy. Kinda meshed 'em together.
Mine is just a simple picasso. its under the name seraph.

I really like it. Nice use of layers and color. Simplistic yet curiously artistic.
