Well,I don't have one.I had one when I was 7,but then it just stuck(i.e. bugged) and I smashed it.And since I thought my parents wouldn't care,I hit it with a hammer in front of my grandfather. Also,I don't hate pokemons as much as I hate guitar hero and rock band.

I always go for the fire types. I can't help it. Charizard fucking kicks the SHIT out of Blastoise and Venisaur.

You mean burns? I like water though, a little fountain and Charizards drowns in flames. On an unrelated note, In Flames is a great band. Really though. Water > Fire, see stats.

Bulbasaur if you want someone who doesn't take any shit, and is a bit of a maverick, or Squirtle if you want something with cannons on it's back.

A little bit of Charizards penis in Blastoise' face, and Blastoise drowns in cum.
No seriously though, Charizard can be a mean battler, especially with fly. Fly + Tail Whip + Fly = Insta-win.

There aren't as many fire types as compared to grass/water.
If you know what you're doing, take Chary.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Bulbasaur, there are no unique grass pokemon later in the game, while there is Articuno for water / ice, and Moltres for fire.

Squirtle's probably the safest choice, but I personally prefer the awesome might of Charizard.

Difficulty range.
Bulbasaur - super effective against first 2 gyms, and easiest to level and use.
Squirtle - super effective against the first and neutral against second. Generally easy to use.
Charmander - weak against first 2 gyms, and slightly harder to use.
Bulbasuar can cut.
Squirtle can swim.
Charmander can fly and cut (I think)

My first Pokemon game was Crystal, and I went with Totodile, so when I played Red, I went with Squirtle. It was ok, but I found Charmander much cooler. Ever since then, I used fire types. But that's just me.

You Sir fail at joining in with the big boys.
Though it was still a good game.

I could only get Suicine on that game, I failed it.
Also I couldn't get to silver mountain whatever it was called and I kept beating the league etc.
