It pisses me off that everyone forces religion with an iron fist in catholic schools. I mean, I understand a little bit of promotion but...
For an example I went ot my school chapel and asked my chaplain why Adam and Eve has not been removed from the bible now that evolution has been proven. She is a really nice person and would take a bullet for her rivals but this seemed to make her spaz. ALOT. She sent me to the office and I got a detention. Or the fact that I like to mix religions. I like to believe in Jesus and what supposedly happened in the Holy Land but I also like to believe in the Buddhist "reincarnation" idea. She doesn't like that either.

It's the same at my skool. Thie idiots are complety unfair. I live in Ireland and I am romanian. Its hard to be forign in a differnet country.

I went to a Catholic school for 8 FUCKING YEARS. I know what you mean. I told almost everyone I was an Atheist and almost all of them thought I was a retard immediately. They really don't get it. I've gone to school with them for 6 years, and they think I'm an asshole just because I'm an Atheist. I had been an Atheist for about 5 years, and that didn't stop me from being friends with most of them. Some didn't care - these people I'm still friends with - others TRIED to make fun of me. They tried, but I just turned it back onto the Catholic faith and shut down all Religion conversation of the rest of forever. People need to learn this: There are 2 types of Atheists - douche bags, and regular people. I don't need to explain the former, but people's stereotype about Atheism is so far from the truth it hurts.

I could keep droning on, but I'll spare all of you from that.

About 65% of my school are Muslim (my school is in the middle of Rotterdam), if I even mention the word "Allah" I get 6 people in my face asking me to explain why I said that and that I shouldn't etc. Things like that have turned to me extremely against religion in general, and I truely believe the world would be a better place without it. Ofcourse, people are free to believe what they want, but if I may quote Douglas Adams: "otherwise rational... intelligent people... nevertheless take it [the existence of God] seriously". That is how I feel about it.
