For instance, suppose she says something like that again. You respond like this, "Regardless of whether that's meant to offend or not, it's frustrating. It's frustrating when you're supposedly given an opportunity and slapped in the face the next second. It's frustrating that you called on me purely to make a point at my expense."
Oh and then add at the end something like
"Is that what Jesus would do?"
or
"Closing the lines of communication isn't really conducive to openning me up to 'faith'"
or the classic
"bitch"

I like these two. But on the first one, if she asks, "do what?", say the bit about, "That you called me out just to make a point at my expense.

I'm going to a catholic school too, but everyone there is kinda atheist (tje students and most of the teachers). In religion class we don't really see anything catholic-related but that's just my teacher for the moment, so I'm kinda lucky ^^.
My dad always warned to not say out loud that I was an atheist in my school, but I'm proud to say it. Nobody ever looked down on me, I even had some interesting discussions with the religion teacher.
Your teacher sounds like an ignorant bitch, though. She thinks that because you're an atheist you can't feel the need to help other people? I mean what's up with that? You show by helping people from a non-religion POV that you are actually above religious people, who help others because of their own benefit (getting in heaven, fear for god ...).

Uh, yah. I'm an athiest and goddamn every one has to stop and question me about my beliefs. People can get me introuble for saying that I'm an atheist (as they say it's harassment) but I sure as hell can not go and report them for saying something religious. Personally, I don't give a shit whether you believe in the big man floating over the earth. I juts don't want you to fucking question me on my beliefs.

What are you saying. The principle of her belief? She hacked away at me because she didn't like what I was hearing,
We usually say stuff like "I hate god miss" just to get a joke or two, and until now it has been pretty light hearted. But this was just so shocking. I went and reported her for verbal abuse (This is frowned upon, but I had no choice, I couldn't talk it out with her)
But nothing will happen of course
The most annoying thing about the woman is that she is incredibly hot.

What she said was rude but your being a total bitch about this.
"Oooh she said a few fucking words about me not believing" who gives a shit.
Its a CATHOLIC school, that went on a feild trip for a RELIGIOUS experience. Your presence there is a waste of time because your not catholic nor religious.
Thats like me joining the Steak club despite the fact I'm a vegetarian, and every time a member says something about steak, I have to be a smart ass and question his views on steak. It makes no sense. if the steak club went to India to convert Vegetarians into eating steak and all I did was tell them not to, would I be right? NO.
Your wasting their money and their hard work for no reason. You should goto a public school and not try to reverse any religious group's hard work. You are seriously the ass, I'm sorry but its true.

So what you're saying is that the whole trip was an act of selfishness?

I feel sorry for you, I would have probably yelled at the teacher for making a comment like that. Luckily for me though, I go to a public school, so I'm free to believe in whatever I want.

Also, don't call me a mouthy kid. I'm older than you, so don't patronize me.

It's not a field trip. It's a fucking trek to the otherside of the planet, and what would you know about the aims of the trip, You are being to presumptuous

It's not a religious trip. The 15 of us who went raised all the funds, I raised 10,000 Euros by fasting and pub collections. So all the hard work was done by us.
You are seriously the ass, I'm sorry but its true.

If it wasn't a feild trip then why the hell did you invite your teacher?
I have yet to know a group of friends that invited their teacher to go with them on a trip.
also the analogy meant that they do alot of hard work teaching you kids about a religion that you care less about, not only that but you even have the balls to question them. They never asked you to go there but you bother them anyways and stress them out.
I'm neither catholic or Aetheist, I'm just trying to give you the other point of view because everyone is being completely biased against your school.

I didn't, it's a very organized thing. the teacher in question wasn;t even on the trip. The trip is actually an exchange, I had a rich Indian guy in my house, and I was in their house when I went there.
also the analogy meant that they do alot of hard work teaching you kids about a religion that you care less about, not only that but you even have the balls to question them. They never asked you to go there but you bother them anyways and stress them out.
Again with the you kids, I know you might feel old, but you come across very immature and annoying.
I'm neither catholic or Aetheist, I'm just trying to give you the other point of view because everyone is being completely biased against your school.
Just in brief: You have no idea what you are talking about, and you obviously didn't read my post properly.

Thank you.
This is a common joke in our school, we make fun of the teacher she makes fun of us, but when a non religious guy gets in on a joke, she takes it too far and too personal. I talked with my parents about it and we came to the conclusion that there was no way she could justify it.
She was out of order, I don't know why you are defending this bitch.

If someone punches me, and I punch back, my punch doesn't count?
An attack is an attack whether it's retribution or not. I was just suggesting an alternative method that might end the situation more desirably, but if the thread starter wants to be the victim so badly that he can't bother to realize both people involved are human, I'm out.

What a bitch!! She shouldn't have said that! I'm like a weird non-practicing Christian or whatever (Still not sure what you'd call it) and I don't think that you were there to FORCE those kids to listen to some religious bullshit. From the picture, it looks like those kids couldn't have cared less whether you were aethist or Buddhist or catholic or whatever. I think they look very happy just being around you. Fuck that lady and her zealous comment. Keep believing (or not believing) in whatever the hell you want!!!

It pisses me off that everyone forces religion with an iron fist in catholic schools. I mean, I understand a little bit of promotion but...
For an example I went ot my school chapel and asked my chaplain why Adam and Eve has not been removed from the bible now that evolution has been proven. She is a really nice person and would take a bullet for her rivals but this seemed to make her spaz. ALOT. She sent me to the office and I got a detention. Or the fact that I like to mix religions. I like to believe in Jesus and what supposedly happened in the Holy Land but I also like to believe in the Buddhist "reincarnation" idea. She doesn't like that either.
if we release the gingers we are all in terrible danger
