I never really had it, but I have lost faith in humanity on countless occasions. =[

When I was about...7? I dunno.

Frankly, I can't believe in God, because my opinion is that God is not something that we can begin to understand or comprehend. Whether we believe or worship in God, God doesn't care because it can't care. It's already made the universe and created the rules we live by, and that's all - it built the house, but it's not gonna clean it.

I hardly ever come here anymore....

That is nonsensical. The first sentance is fine and is why I used to be Agnostic, because God is by definition unknowable. Your second and third points however have nothing to do with a lack of a belief and are more about predeterminism.

Quite frankly there are those who would agree with your second 2 sentences or even all three of them, but believe in God.

I think he is taking a deist stance, in tha God made the Universe but has no power within it, or has just left us to it.

There never was a period in my life when I would consistently believe in a god, but I used to have some fleeting moments when I thought that God existed. They became less and less common as I grew up.

Losing faith in humanity isn't worth it. There are always going to be people that make the world look like shit and people that make the world a great place to live in. If you waste your time focusing on the all the negative crap thats taking place all around the world your letting some of the good stuff slip by.

Yeah he doesn't make his argument very succinct, I hold a similar stance though, I am an atheist in that I don't believe in the Abrahamic God, the Abrahamic God is a fallacy, I am an agnostic in that I don't know if there is a kind of God whatever it be, and I am a deist in that If there is a God I don't think it gives a fuck what we do.

If you can understand that, it took me a while to come to the conclusion, I was brought up RC, became an atheist. now I would say I am agnostic edging on the side of atheism.

I guess what I was trying to say was that I don't believe in "God" (male) that features in the big three Theistic Religions. They're too specific and human-like to make any sense.
But I can accept the possibility that God does/did exist, but in a way so seperate from our existence that it is pointless to think about it.

I don't know about classifying religious beliefs, so whether this has a name or not eludes me.

I understand those who believe in a god, but I think it's hard to full heartadly believe in such a thing. I've been raised a catholic all my life. I've come to realize that there might not be a god. It just sounds so perfect...
Humans have such a need to feel that everything they do, that their lives has a purpose. So they create religion and blindly believe in it, which gives them a false security. They will live on forever, and that afterlife is even better than what it is now, they live alongside god and jesus in heaven and whatever.
