i'm 23 and i've been a newgrounds member since 02, i've just been browsing newgrounds for what seems like forever and I don't plan on stopping no matter how old I get, Hopefully we can find a way to stop these stupid little kids from getting on newgrounds all together, end all the immature high school drama.

Some of our best users are the oldest ones. Examples: Evil-Dave, Denvish, Zerok, it goes on. I'm gonna be an active user as long as I can be.

you can never get to old really, fact is most websites are run by people in their late twenties and above. if you can't be to old for porn you can't be to old for the net.

Alot of the best members are far over the 13-18 age bracket. So removing them would destroy Newgrounds.

Should have remembered Denvish. And Wade, of course, but I suppose there's some people who would say that he's not a 'member' per se, as he's one of the people who runs the site. *Shrugs*

There is not "too old" for Newgrounds, the same way there is no "too old" for video games. There's a "too stupid" for Newgrounds, however, and there's way too many users here who are on the wrong side of that intelligence limit (Viewtiful-Chris is a perfect example, or perhaps all the goddamn savewhores who would kill their own mothers for Saves and whistle points).

People who say *you're to old for Newgrounds* are dense fucks.

I'm almost 18 and plan on being here well into my mid 20's.

I'll be 33 in a few months. I got on NG this year. This is great site. I tell everyone about it. It's a good distraction and a lot of the submissions to the flash portal are just amazing to me. There is so much talent floating around this place. Someday, in my free time, I hope to contribute some flash projects of my own. There is no age limit to this place. I like to see the balance of young people and older users hashing it out in the forums, too.

I´m 22 and i´ll be around for years to come. There are people older than me on NG, but sadly the majority are young, not so bright teens :(

Unless you're getting paid, I think if you're above 30 you have got better things to be doing.

I'd have to agree with you in that I find Newgrounds to be a great distraction too. I've had a few ups and downs in my life lately, and NG is a great place to escape to.

There is so much talent floating around this place. Someday, in my free time, I hope to contribute some flash projects of my own. There is no age limit to this place. I like to see the balance of young people and older users hashing it out in the forums, too.

Balance is a good word here. Imagine if NG had a user base consisting only of young teenagers - it would be a shambles.

Gotta agree there, but sometimes i´d like maybe an 18+ older NG sometimes...but that´s impossible.

I joined here when I was 15, now I'm nearing 20.

It feels really odd. Even worse when I'm told I'm told I'm too old for this site. Even more so when the people telling me this are 15, the age I was when I started.

I think 16, to be honest with you. Pretty much everything on the site deals with subject matter that 12-15 year olds eat up. These things are videogames, violence and pornography. Just look...

- The most popular flash is related to boobs, videogames, or violence.
- The biggest topics involve cocks, hentai, and video games.
- Some users don't even leave the VG board anymore.
- Almost every user has a sig and/or user page of pornographic nature.

So really, if you still come here after 16 your a:

- Mod/admin appointed to enforce the rules
- A flash animator
- An idiot who can't have a political debate with adults without getting owned and argues with teens to make himself feel better. *cough*Cellardoor6*cough*
- Extremely immature people

Too old for newgrounds...?

Answer: NEVR

Back when I first started coming to Newgrounds (01, 02), I would have said that yes - one could be too old for newgrounds. But that's just because there were so few older users, and the site itself seemed to be geared towards younger users.

Nowadays, there are hundreds of 18+ users on this site, and a large number of those are 20+, like myself. Furthermore, the site itself has matured along with its users, and it feels much more geared to 18+ users than it once was. I will be turning 22 in July, and have no thoughts of leaving this site anytime soon.

It's not really because of the BBS - don't get me wrong, I enjoy chatting with you guys. But the flash is what drew me here in the first place, and the flash is what makes me stay. The amount of talented submissions being entered into the Portal day in and day out is mind-boggling, and I don't really think I will get tired of checking em out anytime in the near future.

I just hope I can get a fast enough internet connection once I'm out of school to still be able to enjoy the site to its fullest.

Thats what creeps me out, us adolescents are here because we can't do anything on certain occasions but These adults have a Full blown Life that they can take advantage of and yet they are talking to us?

I think the min age should be 13 or 14.

But that's the point - there's not just 13 year olds on NG, there's loads of over 21's, who probably talk more to each other than the younger users. Still, I'm 19, and whilst I mostly talk to the older members on NG, there are one or two more mature younger users who I get along with fairly well.

Not really. Just because someone slightly older than the average user enjoys watching flash movies or playing flash games (or any of the other things you can do on NG), it doesn't mean that they have something mentally or emotionally wrong with them. Testifying that the aforementioned assertion is PROVEN because of your opinion is even further from the truth.

What about Wade? What about all the other administrative staff? What about the mods who are over the age of 20? What about the great flash artists who are over the age of 20? There are many holes in your argument.
