Castle Crashers for other systems.

Ok, let's face it. We all think that Castle Crashers will be the greatest game since Portal. The only problem I have with Tom and Dan, is the fact that the game is limited to only one console. Although, the 360 is the most popular for gamers now, that still doesn't change the fact that the players who don't have 360, but still want to play the game won't get to.

Now, I'm not saying that the Behemoth should delay production any more than it has to, but when you're done making it and releasing it for the 360, they should try and include it for the Wii as well. Here are some reasons:

- Wii has online play as well
- With the Wiimote, it would be really kickass to swing your weapon, just like in Twilight Princess
- Nintendo has a more dedicated fanbase than Microsoft

If they could at least consider putting it on for the Wii, then that's just fine too.

Just to mention, the Wii has a weaker hardware specification, so that will give a major constraint in development.

It's being developed for the 360.

Just because your mom isn't going to buy you one, doesn't mean they're going to remake the game for you.

It's just a 2d game, I'm sure it could, they ported alien hominid to gba afterall. It would need some major tweaking, but it would be possible.

Yeah, the Behemoth really screwed us over by limiting it to one system.

A lot of the reasoning behind just making the game for the 360's Live Arcade is that they can self-publish as no physical medium is needed (disc, case ect). The Behemoth was screwed over by their publisher when they put out Alien Hominid on the PS2 and Gamecube, and as a result they basically didn't get any money from those sales, which is why AH was subsequently released to every platform (besides PC) known to man, so they could recoup development costs and make some profit. By self-publishing on Live Arcade they will get most of the revenue from the sales of the game (besides Microsoft's cut of course). I'm not sure that WiiWare has an established revenue structure yet, not to mention it's brand new, so they may be waiting to see how it develops first.

I think it would be a very fun game on ds and u could incule little mini games for the touch screen.
The ds also has wi-fi and people could link up to defeat a boss monster pr play the mini games together.
One more idea is that u can trade weapons and amour over the computer

Apart from the issues already listed, the game has already been developed for the Xbox 360 specifically. Porting isn't an easy or quick process, but depending on how well the game does (surely it'll be the best game on XBLA?) it may get released on other formats.

Castle Crashers is a button masher, no room for the Wiimote there. Also, it's not my fault you got a Wii. Maybe you should have thought about your purchase. At least you have the option to sell for Wii for twice as much on eBay to get a 360.

Microsoft has the best attach rate out of any of the consoles. That people buy more games for the 360 than any other console. A more "dedicated" fan base is in correct. Microsoft also has the biggest launch record sales for games (GTAIV/Halo 3).

What about PS3? Castle Crashers is going to be downloadable, right? PSN is great for all sorts of downloadable stuff, compared to the 360's arcade of utter shit

I agree. Motion sensing controls get pretty damn annoying after 3 minutes.

A DS Version would be absolutely incredible. It looks like the kind of game I want to just boot up and jump into on a portable console as opposed to something I want to sit down and invest myself in.

You can buy Microsoft Points cards at many stores (where you can obviously pay cash). Even with a credit card you still have to first buy Microsoft Points to buy games and content on Xbox Live.

You only say that because you have developed a fanboyism for this site in the time you have been on here. If you had not been to this site and became a member and made 3,000 posts you would probably not regard Castle Crashers as the greatest game, probably as just a standard beat 'em up.
