But in religion, we do somthing for a reward of sorts.
In some religions, its praying
In others, its sacrafice
Some put up offerings in temples
But i doubt a religion has the message that you should do absolutely nothing

They're people too.

But beyond that perhaps there is a greater meaning. Maybe The Conch represents us, and Spongebob and Patrick are God(s).
I just fucking blew your mind
Due to complaints about my last signature having the incorrect use of "there" I am now changing it to fuck you.

If that was serious, i say your theory is valid.
God basically pulls strings to make us, in the end, do his/her/its will.
But i cannot stress the point enough that it is a CARTOON

That's actually a very intriguing hypothesis.
The God Allegory is very nuanced and subliminal.

I'm not taking religious messages from a cartoon.
If God has to communicate to us through TV that tells you a little about our society nowadays.

However, note that these characters can easily be symbolized for greater roles.
The Magic conch shell is God
SpongeBob and Patrick are its religious followers
And Squidward is the atheist who later converts.
anyone else see that episode?
Oh my god I never knew! It's almost like writers, when dealing with a controversial and possibly offensive subject, take different viewpoints and aspects of the subject and characterise them in some way or disguise them so that a point is made but they aren't directly saying anything! Who could have thought such a thing called an aphorism could exist?!

Go on.
Also, i would apreciate it if people realised that this is a cartoon, not a religious channel. Since when do childrens cartoons have RELIGIOUS messages.
It isn't as literal as that. It's true that there's no religion that's given guidance from a toy, but Truth is saying that the idea that Spongebob and Patrick were zealously following something that only has so many pre-determined things to say parallels organized religion/the Bible.

Its just i think that a childrens cartoon wouldn't have a religious message unless it is literaly a religious cartoon. Also, explain what you mean by Organized

i cant quite believe that from a childrens cartoon we are suddenly trying to establish a greater meaning in religion, again FROM A CARTOON!!! with a TALKING SPONGE!!!
but that episode was alright, the one about spongebob ripping his pants or the one where spongbob eat's squidwards bomb-filled pie were better
to the point about religion, i don't believe in religion, i just dont like it (no offence to the people who follow whatever religion they believe in, it's just the religions themselves i dislike)
but what religion basically is is finding something to believe in to help you through life, the makers of the conch episode probably figured that out so put it to practical use, what most find in religion is a way to help them through life spiritually, in that episode it was pictured as a way to help them through their problems (like being lost in that forest)
you could apply that belief to just about anything
like one episode in Family Guy where Peter starts his Church of the Fonz religion, that episode has good points about religion as well
:face it, my logic is undeniable
