And I was referring to the major powers in Europe when I said they were against us. Also, in the two-hundred-twenty-seven year history of this country, only two of the wars we have fought have been questionable, the Spanish-American, and Vietnam. Every other war we have fought has been in defense of ourselves, our allies, or innocent people.
The USSR would have conquered Europe and killed even more people then they already did if it wasn't for us. And the whole embargo thing really makes no sense. I don't know if you have noticed or not, but we do major business with every country in the world. Without us the world economy would collapse, and chaos would reign. You are right about Bush though. And one more thing, we did rescue Europe twice. Britain and France were 6 months from falling before we entered WWI, and Britain was on the edge of falling before we entered WWII, since the nazi collaborating French surrendered. Our military might bailed them out from being under a ruthless Kaiser, and the 2nd worst dictator the world has ever known.

Being a large portion American Indian myself, your right about the Indian Wars, I did not consider those. The Soviet Union was powerful, and could have conquered Europe. They were starving their people to have a huge army. America would not die if an embargo was placed on us. We have some of the largest natural resources on the planet. We could sustain ourselves. A very small portion of the French were in La Resistance, and the majorit of them did surrender. If they didn't there would have been widespread guerilla warfare like in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Scandanavia. Your right the World Wars were over fifty years ago, but they will continue to shape the world for the next five-hundred.

(this part of history i'm not quite so sure about, so correct me if i'm wrong. with a fact and a link please) that was their excuse. those weren't american territories at the time. those settlers in texas were REVOLTING against the spanish empire (i believe mexico was still spanish at the time) and the US saw that as their excuse to invade and steal a shitload of territory from the spanish. those weren't even US citizens and if they were then they had no right to be in Spanish lands without permission did they?

We only import about ten percent of our oil reserves, and if we were to stop exporting it, we would have plenty. You are right the texans were revolting, and in all reality, probably shouldn't have been there, but the Mexicans were also raiding American territories, like they did right before WWI. La Resistance really wasn't that big. Important and efficient, but not that big. And as for the letting the Nazi's invade Poland and all that, I agree with you 100 percent. We should have intervened in 33 when Hitler was elected. But of course, Hitler wouldn't have been elected, had France not made germany pay such large indemnities after WWI, when the war was just as much the their fault. (All the allies in general, not just France. THey just requested the higher indemnities.)
