I agree with the OP, for the most part. I mean, we need to censor certain things, obviously, like someone's penis on a relatively clean show, but there are some things that people just overreact to. For example, a show should never been pulled off the air just because of something like "the priest was gay" or "that joke is offensive to women."
Taking away all the violence is a useless thing to do, also, especially if it's just like cartoon violence. Today, if a show like Tom and Jerry were to be aired, it would be taken off the air within the airing to maybe two episodes because some mother would complain that it's "decimating our children's morals."
Just because you don't like a joke doesn't mean that it's horrible and that everyone else believes the same way that you do.
