I came back home from school the other day and had a purple looking zit thing above my penis...like where the pubes are. its probably like an inch away from the base of my penis...is that weird or do you really get pimples there sometimes?

No, not herpes. But yeah, that is a bit unusual. Could be a swelling or a minor infection.

It's probably just an ingrown hair or an small infection of some kind. Just wash it up, but if it doesn't clear up, go see a doctor.
