I recently started putting together my own web comic. I know the art itself ain't great and I have a list of grammar and spelling mistakes. Inspite of all of that ppl have still have found my little comic collection to be funny. What I'm looking for opinions from ppl outside of my inner circle of friends. I would love to hear from anyone new to the comic to give their two cents. You can talk to me on this forum or e-mail the site itself. So here's the link MantelComics.com and I hope to speak with someone soon.

The writing is pretty good, read a few of them and they made me chuckle. I agree though the art is a little weak and doesn't drive the story too well. The character concepts are good too but they just need some more time invested in them.

keep it up.

My only excuse for the art being bad is that I like the raw look. I figured it matched the randomness of the writing and I find to be fun. The site and the comic are a work in progress and I'm sort of using it as a kick off to bigger and better things. It's been a great ice breaker for talking to other artists, writers, and web comic/ toon fans on multiple forums to see what sticks. Thus far I've found it's different strokes for different folks, but I'll definatly be taking into account that the raw look isn't for everyone.

Thanks for the reply.
