Well hello there crazy internet people.
Hardware companies have realized how stupid PC gamers are.
they aren't if you buy them from the right place

Hahaha nice one.
it could be infinitely worse.. you could be a mac owner and pay even more for parts AND have less games...
thats why I say: Get a mac and use a bootloader!
good thinking..... gooooooood thinking

you rarely need any parts for the mac actually (cept for a graphics card) because you just have to pay a little more once for really high quality parts.

500 euro's... What? I spent like $300 for an 8800 card a few months ago when I built my PC, and they were top of the line. They may even still be top of the line right now, I'm not sure if something else has been released since then. Granted, you were 8800 cards that were upwards $600, but why the fuck would you go all out like that, I got one for $300 and it blows everything out of the water except for the ones that cost $600 and barely make a difference. Plus, it wouldn't be considered a decent card, it would be considered a very high end card. You can get a decent card for $100.
Total I spent $1,250 on the PC I built and I'm running that 8800 card, a quad core 2.4 ghz processor, and 2 gigs of ram. Yeah, it's still more than a PS3 and an Xbox 360, but it's going to last me a very long time. I can run Crysis on DirectX 9 on max settings and my frame rate never drops below 25, and those are only on really intense moments. Usually it hovers around 30, and will go up to 60 frames when no action is present. If my PC can run Crysis that well, then I don't have much to worry about for a while.
Computers are only really expensive when you don't build one yourself. If you build a PC you can make one that will last for years, thus the whole theory behind having to "upgrade each time a new game comes out", becomes pretty irrelevant. When the whole new wave of games comes out, I'll have no trouble running them. If you don't want to spend a shit load of money on an amazing PC, don't buy Alienware, it's that simple.
I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.
