We saw this movie in class today for a history assignement.

At first I thought it was going to suck ass. The poor cover and our school budget had convinced me that it was made by a bunch of amateurs. But then I realised it was Stephen Spielberg that had instructed, etc.

So we see the movie, and I feel like I'm the only one affected. I mean, it was tragic and all, but also very powerfully moving in so many aspects. I think the only time I felt sadder, was when we had a danish jew who attended and survived Auschwitz, telling us about his horrible childhood.

So has anyone seen the actual film? And what do you think of it?

Because all my mates didn't give a flying shit about the movie.

I was told I would need tissues when I saw that movie. Fuck, were they right. Those shower scenes were so good that I had to run out and buy more tissues to wipe up the mess.

It's one of my favourites. Great acting, very powerful... won all sorts of awards I do believe. The fact that it was based on true story is also pretty sweet.

Of course, if it wasn't for hitler, we'd still be in the depression most likely.

Well hey guys, it's nice you're reading this.

It's okay. I don't really have a problem with cracking a jew joke, and that picture actually made me smile ;)

Yeah, it started iching in my eyes. My best smile of the day when water came out, and all the jews started crying of joy.

Yep, I saw that one in the theaters when it came out. It was and still is one of my favorites. The movie, the soundtrack, and the message are all very powerful and moving. Thumbs up to your teacher for exposing you to it. As for your mates, there's not much to say. The fact that it made an impression on you proves that the time in class was not a waste.

I've seen that, I remember I really liked it. So it probably moved me.

Nah, it's alright. Different opinions. But most of them were close to breaking down when we were visited by that Auswitz jew.

Eh.

The fact that it made an impression on you proves that the time in class was not a waste.

Precisely. I was afraid that it was a waste of those 3 hours, but instead it's the best class session I've had this year.

Terrific, sad movie. I can't help but watch it every time it's playing on the TV. And I really need to go out and purchase it.

I'm more a fan of the sequel, "Schindler's List 2: Schindler's Pissed."

I would link to a video of that, but of course it's taken off Youtube.

its kind of sad this generation has never heard of the Schindler's List until school makes you watch it. It is one of the most renowned and famous movies ever made really. A timeless classic, bla bla bla.
it was a masterpiece on so many levels.

I had it on DVD, then gave it away as a present (it was a fancy big case version and they don't fit with the rest of my collection). Definatley something i plan on watching though. Only gripe is it's 3 or 4 hours long isn't it?

Run time: 195 minutes.

Yeah, you could say that.

Before today I never heard of the damn thing. I'm not really interrested in movies, but if only I had known.
