I made this animation. Looks good, in my opinion.
Then I added a preloader. Now the background/vault entrance looks like
shit.
Why's this happening? Like it's compressing the .jpg quality or something.. When I remove the preloader, it looks fine again.
ugh, i have this problem too and i'm still trying to figure out a way around it. it's because medium and high quality modes only anti-alias bitmaps if there's one frame in the animation. you could try setting _quality = "BEST" in the actionscript, or help me work on a preloader that goes in the same frame as the rest of the movie. :P

Hay, thanks so very much! That actually worked! Only now the filesize is twise bigger... Well, I think I can compress the bitmaps with Photoshop.
or help me work on a preloader that goes in the same frame as the rest of the movie. :P
Sorry, I'm no scripter. But (and I don't know AS!) maybe something like preloader-movie clip that changes itself to the animation-movie clip. That would make one frame on the main time line..
