I actually don't mind waiting, I hate it when they release a new system because I never seem to have enough money, lol. Plus, new system means more expensive games... :(

yeah but newer software can still work on the older computers... for a console you wont be able to play the 720 games on the 360

I hope it gets delayed longer. I don't want to invest in a Wii/720 (or Wii/PS4, whichever makes for the better combo) for quite some time. As exciting as new consoles are, the hole they burn in my pocket is always a major annoyance.

Another thing to address would be the fact that I've spent all this money on DLC for rockband and Oblivion. They better not mess those up. They'd need some way to make it totally compatible with the 360 from the get go, not the 30-40% on original xbox games the 360 currently has.

That seems like a resonable amount of time. The PS2 came out in '00 and the PS3 came out in '06, so this wouldn't be the first time we had to wait for 6 years =D.

I think the premise of this one is to be so 'hi-tech' and 'out there'... that its like making a 720 and getting really dizzy so you ram your head into a wall, in which you fall into a hungering abyss, only to find yourself at a party no one was invited to after 11 years of falling.

Im an XBox supporter... but if they don't fix the red ring and other mjor flaws by 2010 (the time when there will most likely be a 360 Lite)... >:C

Sony aims for a ten year lifetime, and seeing how the ps2 had a big lifetime compared to the other two I think i believe them.

I can wait for the 3rd XBOX. You know how much an XBOX 720 is gonna cost? I've just bought my XBOX 360 roughly a year ago, and there's no way that I've gotten my money's worth out of it yet. At least this way we'll be able to get a bunch of new games in before a whole new era of graphics kicks in. Trust me...I can wait.
