My dog has been dreaming...

It seems as though my chocolate lab has been dreaming for quite a while now. At first, she started to howl in her sleep (Which sounded extremely odd), and now she's sort of twitching her back legs and making an occasional noise. She's done this before, and sometimes it scares the shit out of me. (Like when I'm in bed and I hear this loud, high-pitched howling coming from downstairs). Do any of your dogs (or pets for that matter) dream?

My dog makes this "yip" sounds when she's asleep.
I believe the yip sounds are a signal or her kicking into the 3rd gear of sleep though. She snores too!

my friends dog once took a dump while it was sleeping when i was sleeping over at his house. luckily the dog wasn't sleeping in the same room as me.

yeah, my chocolate lab does that too. we'd be trying to watch a movie or something, then we'd just hear this loud rumbling snore... really funny. then you hear a high pitched sqeak- he farted. but yeah sometimes during the night, he gets scared from a dream or something and then he'd start howling but its long and drawn out like an, "ahhhhooooahhhooooahhhhooo..." the first time i heard it i thought he was dying lol.

Yeah my Beagle does the same, she will give a winded bark and twitch her legs when shes dreaming. Its really cute to watch.

I wasn't sure what to think the first time my lab howled. I thought that there was some insane satanic demon in our living room.
