I live in South Jersey too, actually. Seaside Heights is about an hour away from me though which fucking sucks. Anyways, it'd be possible. But my best bet is NYC, even though it's fucking crowded as hell. :/

A lot of people are suggesting NYC, but what is there to do except walk around and see the normal tourist sites? Does anyone live there and know any cool spots to check out, or will it be the normal Empire State Building/Times Square tour?
I'm starting to side with DC, honestly - mainly because I've done NYC so many times and have never actually been to Washington.

Haha that would be awesome.
My vote's for DC!
New York, especially Manhattan is just too damn expensive. Of course, I can only go after Nov. '08 so my vote would be later on. But if it's earlier I guess I can't go.

Epic? Nah... More like fail man.
Good luck though with this haphazard attempt at a meet-up.

I'd recommend a somewhat central meeting place on the coast- not too far north. Philly sounds good, and so does D.C. NYC is a bit far north, though. Same with Boston.

So my vote is for DC or Philly, whichever one would be fine.

I vote for NYC, there is plenty to do there besides walk around. We don't have to go to the standard NYC locations, Empire State, Statue of Liberty yadda yadda yadda. New York has more to offer than that. If the meet up did happen to be in DC what would we do there? Would we be tourists and go see all the monuements? I'm asking because I've already done that twice. If that's the case it is not motivation enough to drive to DC.

If it's before summer of '09 then I can't make it. That's when I turn 18 and I'll definitely have a car by then.

Well, they're South of me, yeah, but not everyone lives in Albany. They're further from me, but closer to other places.

Honestly, I'd go with New York but during the fall cause there won't be as many tourists and Hotels will be cheap.

Relax man, people are just throwing out ideas, and we'll figure out what place is best in a little bit.
I also want to post this on behalf of an interested user that is currently banned:
NYC
Brilliant restaurants, that huge toy shop which would be funny as hell to go to, shitty broadway plays to get kicked out of, new World Trade Center will be being built, would be semi cool to see, good hotels for everyone, better street food, more walkable in general+larger in size so we could go around looking for shit to do if worse comes to worse.
D.C. is mildly boring from what I remember..
And to those naysayers like Poozy and FBI, you pessimistic guys are missing out on a fun time.

Ok, so DC is two votes ahead of NYC. I guess we can decide tonight, right? I'll tally all the votes tonight and post the final location. People may still get involved after that, but they won't have a say in location matters. If you object to the final official end of location voting, just say so.
Also to FBIpolux and Poozy: Dude, no offense, but the Montreal meet was kind of lame. I mean, you had to get seriously drunk so that you could have at least some archaic form of fun. No pictures of the city of Montreal. No going to places. You just went to some Mexican restaurant and then went to someone's house and got drunk. End of story.
Just because most of us will be under 21, it won't mean we won't have fun. We're bound to get a lot of people, and hopefully help from some staff (although I wouldn't rely on this too much). Our meet will be an epic fail, you say? I'll make sure to get drunk as hell before that happens. After all, that's the only way you guys can have fun, no?
So stop the hating. >:(

Okay, so I'm going to send out PMs as ballots to all of the users in this thread that expressed an interest and might make the age limit by the time this meet-up is held. That way, people who voted for cities other than NYC and DC can choose between the two, and will get a say.
So if you are interested, might be 18+ in the next summer (or year) and didn't get a PM, please post here or PM me/Fragment.

Ok - got it.
All PMs are sent, so if you didn't get one, and will be 18+ during the meet-up, vote here.
Voting will be closed in a day or so.
