It would be more accessible to me too considering I live in South Jersey. The Seaside Height Boardwalk would make a great place for a meet-up, plus I personally know an owner of one of the stands so we could g alot of free tries and discounted shit on some of the stuff on the boardwalk. BTW me and Techno live about 30 min from eachother, so Seaside Heights would be the most convienent for us.

That would be awesome as it's only an hour away from me.
But it's not gonna happen.
My vote's for DC if I'm 18 by the time the meetup occurs, so hopefully it'll be late 2008 haha
Or Hampton Roads as there's lots to do here but not nearly as much as those other big cities...

Of course not. Everyone knows there are no girls on the internet! You'll have to rent filipino whores at your own expense : (

I'd go up for some place closer to me in Maryland.
Perhaps Baltimore? Nah, we'd get shot.
I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

I'm in between Boston and NYC so both of those I could probably make. Philly would be a 4 hour drive for me, definately doable but long as hell. So my vote goes for Boston or NYC because it will take me the same amount of time to get to both.

Ok, people!
We've read all of your input, and it goes well appreciated. The top two cities are Washington DC and Philadelphia. Post which of these would you rather go to, and we'll make the final decision.
We've also read your opinion on when do you want it, and that's a little more difficult. The earliest we will do is late summer of '08, and the latest will be summer of '09. A lot of people want it to take place in '09, due to the fact that a lot of you will be 18 by then. But if you'd rather do this year, by all means say it.
So, DC or Philly?

Ok. Last chance to say which city would you rather go to.
Considering that a lot of people from Canada are willing to attend if it's taking place in NYC or Boston, we're now back to square one. Our choices are:
Boston
New York City
Philadelphia
Washington, D.C
So, what you should do is say which city would you rather go to, and why. If you know of the attractions and things we can do there, PLEASE share. We want to know everything about museums, theme parks, monuments, tourist attractions, clubs, places, houses, etc.
Since I live here in D.C, I'll start.
Attractions: There are countless museums and monuments in the actual city. There's the Holocaust Museum, American History Museum, Natural Museum, Botanical Garden, Art Museums and galleries, and many others that we can visit.
Monuments: The Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument, The Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, World War II Memorial, Roosevelt Memorial, etc.
Theme Parks: Six Flags is around thirty minutes away from the city. Busch Gardens is about an hour away, and Paramount's Kings Dominion is about a 45 minute drive. These are open from April to October/November.
Places: Old Town Alexandria has a good nightlife. By that, I mean cars, clubs, and CHICKS. There are some big malls around the area, which have cinemas and other things of that nature. There aren't many public parks, but we can find some in any map.
People that live here: So far, I know of three users, but I know there's more around the area. These users are SouthAsian, RedCircle, and me. If you live in the area, let us know.
If you have any questions/comments and want to contact the organizers directly, then either PM me or Timmy.
If nobody says anything, then the choice will be up to me and Timmy, so let us know your opinion.

I'm going to vote in favor of Philadelphia, for both practical and selfish reasons.
Attractions:
Aside from the historical aspect of Philadelphia and the world famous Art Museum, there are a bunch of sweet concert venues, the Phillies' new ballpark (if we wanted to check out a game) and possibly even (but probably not) the NG office. Plus we have a Dave and Busters!
Monuments:
Ummm...I dunno - I think the Rocky Statue is pretty cool. Oh, and the Liberty Bell (not really that cool, honestly).
Theme Parks:
There is Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom about an hour drive away - I used to go all the time when I was younger and it is a blast.
If it's warm, we could make a little trek to the beach (hour-hour and a half long drive) and hit up the beach and the water parks there. Maybe even check out the casinos in Atlantic City.
Places:
We have the normal collection of movie theaters, concert venues and such. If we choose a specific weekend, we can probably catch a nice concert festival at the Tweeter Center. It's a normal stop on a bunch of big tours.
We also have the Philadelphia Zoo, which is an awesome place to hang out. As is the Franklin Institute (it makes learning FUN!)
People that live here:
There are a bunch of users over in South Jersey and within the city itself (in addition to the staff). Plus Philly is a southwest hub, so traveling here is pretty painless and inexpensive.
So that's my vote.

I would consider it, depending upon when it is.
I would rather it be in DC.

Well this meet-up might occur as late as next year (summer 09), so don't rule out coming just yet.
In any case, which city would you prefer it to be held in:
Boston
NYC
Philly
DC
We're trying to figure out where people are and where people think its best to go.

So like Zerok said, I'd probably be up for this.
Summer 2009 is way too far away anything in the world could happen between now and then to make a commitment, but as long as someone is willing to give us some floor space to crash, we'd be there.
Also I'd really like to go to DC, I was speaking to Uberbarista (who also lives there) and he excited me with alot of the features there! Philly is okay, but it'd be a waste if we didn't go to the NG office and unless someone has an in already, we can't just go storming in. Boston and NYC are fine but I've been there already.

Err if people are picking philly because they think that they can just show up at the office then prepare to be disappointed. My pick would be NYC... moving around via the train is easy and convenient and theres something always going on at all times of the day... even just wandering manhattan is entertaining in itself. I live in DC and it'd obviously be closer for me but unless theres alot of people coming in from out of town then my idea of visiting museums and monuments that i see everyday when i go to work is not that thrilling... i mean ill be a good sport if its alot of peoples first time in the city but otherwise its a snoozer.

Ok. So far...
3 votes for Washington, D.C
2 votes for New York City
1 vote for Philadelphia
No votes for Boston
This were taken AFTER my last post. I could count the votes on the first three pages, but let's see if people have really good reasons this time around.

DC and NYC are now tied. Let's hope that everyone who posted earlier is willing to officially cast their vote again.
Also, I've been counting, and so far, upwards of 30 PEOPLE ZOMG are interested. Now, this is going to be epic.
