Ng East Coast Meet-up

So, before I posted this I looked for an East Coast meet, and I couldn't find any. So I decided to take up the responsibility and organizing the Official NG East Coast Meet-Up!

This a meet-up for Ng users, which could take place in any East Coast city. The host city will be decided based on which would be the most accessible to Ng users. I'm not sure if it could take place in '08, due to the planning I want it to go through, but I want it to take place at least before fall of '09. If you're interested, post ideas for activities, places where we could sleep, which city would be most accessible to you, etc!

Now, I don't want people to miss out on it, but I think it would be best if you were at least 18 years old to attend. This is due to the fact that if you're a minor it will be a big problem for you to be there, due to all the responsibility we would have to have over you.

This are the cities I thought of that would make good hosts.

-New York City (lots of things could be done here)
-Boston (Big enough city, lots of things could be done here also)
-Philadelphia (Very accessible, also, the NG offices are here!)
-Washington D.C (My hometown, it would be an honor to have you here)

These are the ones I have thought of so far. If you feel like another city would make a good host, feel free to post your thoughts. However, keep in mind that we want to have fun, so don't pick some random, little town in the middle of nowhere.

Best of luck with organizing. Meet ups are hot. Though I've only got the one under the belt.

If you choose Halifax for the city myself and TropicalParadise will be glad to attend. Unless it's this summer, in which case, we're probably going to be gone.

If your 13, it doesn't really matter if you can drive to it, does it?

And if something goes down in Philly, I'm down - might even consider going to NYC if enough people decide to do this. If you guys choose to hit up Philly, I'd love to show you around the city.

Maybe even one of the staff will offer to show us around the office!

Like I said, I don't have an exact date due to all the planning that I want this to go through. I want hotels, attractions, museums, clubs, places where we can stay, everything. Also, it would be nice to get some mods and maybe even admins.

That would be great. I could drive around people and I know where some good spots are. But that doesn't mean that any other city wouldn't do. I'm kind of hoping for Philly. That way we could maybe visit the Ng offices and I could even visit some family on the way :)

You have a real good idea, however, the majority of the users here are either 15 or below. I doubt any of them will be able to attend.

This isn't only for Easterners! If you can make it from Texas, by all means, come. This is called "East Coast Meet-Up" only because of the fact that it's taking place here. But anyone is invited, as long as they're 18 and up.

yup tank and a half of gas, then back, 3 tanks = about $250. i could do that, i would only come for an over night thing tho, a bit to far for a 1 day meet :P

First of all... This will not lead to anything good. You should plan the location RIGHT NOW before this thread turns into a riot.

Also, inviting people under 21, which is the legal age in U.S.A. I believe will lead to nothing but a bunch of kids doing nothing in random locations such as a museum, arcades or a lan cafe.

I wish you good luck, but I personally wouldn't show up to a Meet-up if it isn't happening in bars or had alcohol + adults only involved.

For anyone who cares, me and some of the staff were going to go wander the NY comic con next month.. its not really a 'meet-up' but if you happen to be in nyc and planned to attend it anyway you can swing by and say hello if you see some people with newgrounds shirts on. April 19th i believe

I would be interested in going and I vote for either Philly of DC. Either one is fine with me tho I would like to go to the NG offices for a look around.
