I agree that there are a lot of horrid usernames. Mine is one for example. I think there isn't that many cool usernames because a lot of them are already taken.

Try to put some thought in your username, because it will be the mental personification of you in the other users minds. Good and witty names are easily remembered too, so if you want to gain popularity a little faster, a good name will help.

Generic names also promote no emotions. A name like Electronica, RustyWood, LiquidMatrix, FlyingTears all create some sort of image and are easier to relate than Joe19294129.

All in all, try to make a worthwhile name for yourselfs, you will end up relating to it.

I love my username, and NeoSoviet sounds like a sick name! :P
