Hahah, same here!
But I think the more the better, I mean, there were like 35 authors in sum in Blamformers, and it was awesum in the result.
What I want to know as well is how the best submisiions are going to be chosen?

Haha, I can relate to that. It's taken me ages to find people who can actually give any sort of criticism. My last big project suffered a bit from people only focusing on the good points. It wasn't until I submitted it to NewGrounds that I got any *real* crit.

Love the style of your screen shot. We're getting some cool looking stuff here now

Thank you, really, I thought nobody listened to me here!! man, I was starting to believe I may not get ANY feedback ever haha, I'm done now and will be submiting today (last day :S) hope it makes the cut! thanks again man

Here is a screenshot from my submission:
I like what I see, but remember, If a picture speaks a thousand words, The animation's words will drown out the originals in a rush of speech.

In other words... Hopefully the animation is just as good as the screencap, otherwise the original statement means nothing. :D

Thanks,
The animation was somewhat rushed.. I'm one of those people who procrastinate until the night it's due. (i was up until 2:00am trying to get it done for today.)
I still think it turned out okay though.

I was wondering this too I believe its just Admin opinion correct me if I'm wrong but of it is by admin it would be cool if there was a user choice award atleast for future projects.

Ok... I'm so pissed at myself...

I animated it without putting it into a movie clip, so now I'm fucked... I have the thing done, but When I try moving the frames over into a movie clip it screws everything up!

Is there anything I can do to salavge this project?! I didn't invest all this f***ing time into this to not be able to have the op. to get in!

Can you somehow tell us how it's screwed up? Like, the movie clip played twice where it's not supposed to, etc? Include a pic of a screwed work if possible.

Have you tried selecting all the frames on your timeline, right click on them and select 'Copy Frames'.. then go to 'insert>new symbol' select movieclip then 'paste frames' into the movieclip?

Everything should work fine if you do it that way... unless you are using code that references the main timeline or something.. then something might 'F up

it is also best to make sure you have the same number of layers in the MC and highlight all of the single frame layers when u hit paste I have had syncing issues if I did not do this in the past

We're not supposed to get a response or anything, are we? I had to megaupload mine and with all the work I put into it, I'd hate it to be disqualified just because it never got there.

GAIZ! The closer it gets to deadline, the more their Email box gets Full with submissions! Give the admins time! they'll get to you.

I just hope that is the case, and that they didn't just not get the movie. I'd be pissed if all that was for nothing. Practice, I guess. ;}

Do I just transfer all my layers and frames into a movie clip and let the movie clip run the entire course or what? Just want to make sure I don't f**K up when submitting it.
Everything on your main timeline should be inside a movie clip called 'main' or something similar. Then, 'main' should be the only thing on your main timeline, 1 clip, 1 frame, on 1 layer. When you export your movie, it'll play straight through...just make sure the 'main' clip is aligned to the stage properly so it looks right when you test your movie.

I named mine "irrelivent." Is that alright? I figured if I was naming all my assets "irrelivent_snake1" then that would be the obvious choice.

Hey, dont worry about it, I always do this, sometimes on purpose because I cant be arsed with the hassle of accidently double-clicking the background. Its easy to fix

First of all, make a red-line box where the screen boundries are, on a layer ontop of your main animation in the flash movie.
Next, get the circle tool, or somthing, and draw a circle.
Convert that circle to, in your case "Sonofgoku_movie" or somthing along those lines.
Now, go back into your main flash, highlight ALL of your frames, and rightclick -> copy frames.
Next, go into your circle "movie" movieclip, and delete the circle.
Now, paste your frames into the movieclip, the movie should transfer pretty much exactly as it was in your main flash timeline.

HOWEVER, the likleyhood is that your movie will now be off-centre, so this is where the "Red line box" comes in handy.

When you try and move a movieclip, it displays the contents as lines, so basicly, look at your "movie" movieclip, and focus on the "red line box", when you start to move your MC, keep track of which of the "seethrough" (They arnt really, just thin) lines is the "Red line box".

Then you must drag the movieclip so that the transparent "RLB" matches over the movie dimensions on the canvas. (If you have trouble seeing the canvas, you should probably delete the original animation frames)

Once you line it up, you can delete extra frames and layers, then just hit ctrl+enter and it should play like it did previously.

Notes:
1. You should delete the RLB once you are done with it, as it can sometimes show up in the movie accidently
2. Sound sometimes goes out of sync when you do this, It did with me. Either re-arrange your sound files in the timeline so it corresponds with...how it should work, or just simply move your movieclip by a few pixels, that seemed to sort it out for me.

Hope that helped!

Also, Sammy, Woot! Babysnake :D

Where does it say this? I've been following the whole topic but not noticed it (maybe I just forgot though).

If anyone needs some last min MGS style music, I've got two tracks on the audio portal that are good for MGS style background music and fight music.

Good luck to everyone who's rishing to finish in time
