I have that game on my laptop. I believe Star Wolf 2 was a lot harder to beat that the first one just because my wingmen suck.

Leon: How do you like our new ships, Starfox?
Falco: I see you have new ships.
Starwolf: You're good, but I'm better.

Back in the days that graphics could actually still impress gamers too :o

And it had some ridiculously hard medals or achievements or whatever they were called. And like 3/4 of the game was hidden levels :p

I hated the multiplayer though. Piece of ass.

Me and my friends used to always fight over who got to be Falco, and whoever got Slippy always got pissed off.

Duuuuuuuuuur, ya think?

Not like it has ANY competition...

You could be a retro fag and say you like the one on the SNES more... But... What else is there?

I would say that the Snes one was better but in my defense i can say that i never got around to play the N64 one...
Gotta buy it on the VC when i finally get me some Points.

Im in ur Cyste, makin it Citric

Yeah, it's a great game, I really hope that they make a new one that actually does the first two justice.

I love Star Fox 64 / Lylat Wars! I recently began playing it on my N64 again, trying to achiev all of the medals on expert mode since I never really tried before.
My current Highscore is 1353. Gotta imrove this up to 1600 at least :X

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

I loved the game. I used to watch my brothers play it when I was 7 (there were like 8 and 10 at the time so I would just watch them) and I was entertained even by that. Then I played it and I still pull it up from time to time. I just beat it over a year ago for fun. I loved all the levels, especially Zoness!

That level with the green water and the sad but pretty music. That was so much fun. I love how Peppy supported you and told you to just believe and follow your father's example. Then you had to take out all the search lights and I always restarted the level if I was spotted by one.

Andross was creepy though. How his gnarly teeth and beady eyes are all up in your face. And if you did the fast version of the game, he appears in the sun with that evil laugh. Scared me shitless.

And yes, Macbeth was a bitch if you didn't switch all the switches. I would kill myself off so I could start at the checkpoint and try again. I burned up 10 arwings at once doing that trick too. But its cool watching the train explode.

And then there was Aquas (I know I'm not getting these in the right order!) which remined me of an underground Roman empire. I like the music in that too but the exploding starfish got on my nerves a lot. But I loved killing those fish with the lights on their heads. That was pretty entertaining. Note: you have to get 100 hits to get a MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Lastly, in my memory anyway, I liked Katina because it reminded me of Independence Day. And you're introduced to Star Wolf and his team. They were all douchbags. There was also Sector Z (at least if I remember correctly) where you get ambushed. That one made me sad when you didn't save Great Fox.

Yeah its a fantastic game.

I still hate Slippy.

Lovely!
