groceries! Who buys them for you. Your mom or dad? I assume so.
I'm going through the stage of my life where I start thinking about getting on my own two feet, getting out of school and out of my parents house where I have spent the last 18 years of my life. It's a scary thought in my opinion.
Can you imagine yourself in 'X' amount of years, going to the local to pick up a loaf of bread, or some tea bags or coffee?
I just pictured myself there, doing all that stuff. Throwing my apartment keys beside the fruit bowl, sticking on the kettle and making myself a cup of tea for the first time in my own apartment.
Do you realize that most of you are less than 6 years away from doing that. The concept scares me a little.
What are your thoughts?

Well, I'm sure you do Arab, but do you have your own house? That's what I'm trying to get at.

I wish I did, its not like something I'm nervous or need to sit down and pep-talk myself for

Both my parents buy groceries. I usually only go to the store if I need something specific, but I'll have to start shopping on my own next year.

You'd be surprised. I might be an amazing feeling. But you might not like it. Imagine yourself, lying in your cold fresh apartment bed, all alone, for the first time in your life.

Reasons I will fail as an adult:
I still ask whoever is with me at a movie theatre to order for me.
I can't sleep without the T.V. on
I have no idea how taxes/finances work
I needed my dad to help me with 75% of my FAFSA application
I'd rather be a dancer/choreographer than have a "real" job/ "be a doctor"
I don't have a job because the thought of an interview scares me to death.
I can't go anywhere by myslef at night because I'm scared of getting jumped.
So...I'm VERY co-dependant

You really should start learning to be alone, everyone has to deal with it at some point and its best if you can find something that you do better or enjoy more when you're alone. But yea if you're 18, its time to experience life without someone holding your hand, and if you're really worried about it, remember there are plenty of kids between 15 and 18 who are pretty much on their own already

I have to buy most of my own stuff. Occasionally my mum might drop off something if I ask her to get it whilst I'm in town or she thinks I might need it. But otherwise it's just me and the cashflow card.

But money, bills, taxes, income. It's all a bit scary.

I've been doing it for 4 years now, it's not that scary. Might be a bit strange at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly!

Not at the moment, my parents invested a fair amount of money into my teriary studies when I was a little kid, so money really isn't as big of an issue as it could be.

Yes, I hate thinking about it. I am four years until I am 18. I don't really buy groceries, but I can't ask my parents to pick me up a bag of chips or soda at the store. Then, thats when I need to buy it. I usually buy my own electronics though. I get new earphones if I need them, a new memory card if so and etc.
Damn, I hate the thought of a job too. I would still have school to deal with and everything. Many of my friends have jobs or REALLY want jobs, yes, slow the fuck down ;_;.
And getting a car, I don't want to deal with re learning all the car facts and taking the tests.

I buy my own groceries, and own my own house. Even have a family. Actually what is interesting is when I was still living with my parents, at 15 they told me to buy my own food. So for six years I have been doing just that.

I'm getting a moped, fuck cars. On a moped, you can avoid traffic. Plus, you don't need to take a test. I can't wait, I have an Agnry faic sticker that's waiting to be put on the back of my helmet. It's too bad I can't see the faces of the angry road raging fools stuck in traffic as I whiz by.

Actually your not going to be whizzing by. You can only get a 50cc without a license, and those things go like 35. but with some Illegal modifications you can make them go like 50. other than that your going to be stuck on the shoulder of the road spending 2 hours going 5 miles.
