What are some good psychedelic rock and funk bands?

Jefferson Airplane and Bootsy Collins.

Newgrounds is probably the most gayest thing I ever heard of.

Thanks man.

Jam bands, like Particle and The John Butler Trio(Some of their stuff), are welcome as well.

Flaming Lips, although I don't know if they'd fit those categories. Their album "Yoshimi battles the pink robots" is great for chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool.

My favourite song that could possibly fit into those categories would be Riders on the Storm by The Doors, or The End, also by The Doors. Look up King Crimson too. They were more progressive rock, but they were early enough to be considered a soothing psychadelic sound.

I'd also go wih this. The Flaming Lips have to be one of my favourite bands of recent years, and some of their stuff is worthy of chilling to.
