This is a place to discuss Oblivion, share screenshots, brag, and whatnot. If you are not familiar with Oblivion, it is a RPG by Bethesda, it is available for Xbox 360 and PC.

So, does anyone own the manor in Skingrad?

If you have it for PC, I bet you have mods, I found this construction set for it that lets you create areas and NPCS, I find it great when combined with mods.

I used to play Morrowind on and off for about a year, Oblivion just isn't as addicting. I played it for around a month and got bored of it. Still it's far from overrated seeing as how good first person rpgs are few and far between.

Well, not all of the mods are bad, I do have Morrowind, I had it long ago, I still have it installed. I do enjoy Morrowing as well, In fact, If Morrowind's addictive quality morphed with Oblivion, that would be great. Now, one thing I found wrong with Oblivion was how you could skip out on the main quest. It doesn't really make sense... On Morrowind you had to deliver a letter which I skipped. On Oblivion, you have to find a new Emporer or the whole land is fucked, but the daedra wait until you're ready... Odd.

I feel like it takes quite a bit more time than half an hour to really get into Oblivion. You have to at least give the game a chance before you can badmouth it like that. Not every game needs to be original to be fun, and you can't call it dull if you only played it for half an hour. The game always has things going on everywhere. You couldn't have gotten very far in the main quest, much less any side quests. Give the game a chance before you give it such critical acclaim.

Enough criticism, here are some tips.

The two most powerful weapons in Oblivion are swords, and are obtained through Daedric Shrine quests.

The first, Goldbrand, can be earned by completing Boethia's shrine, in which you fight ten separate opponents in a row. These enemies drop many riches of their own, making this shrine one of the most profitable. Goldbrand has a very high melee damage plus a +20 fire damage enchant.

The second, Umbra, you come across during Clavicus Vile's Daedric shrine quest. You must kill Umbra and take her sword (she renamed herself after the blade). Vile requests you bring him the blade, which would yield some great light armor, but you can instead ignore him and keep it. Umbra has the highest melee damage of any weapon and inflicts a two minute soultrap.
