That game definatly was amazing, I used to play it with my friend all of the time. I really wish I had an N64, it had so many great games that I wish I owned.

Oh my god Perfect Dark. That shit was ace. I would play that game until my eyes got dry. The greatest thing to do was get a team full of Sims, throw remote mines all over them, and tell them to follow my somebody's character, and when they got close, I'd detonate them. God that game was awesome.

FUCKING AWESOME

Me and my friends would get together and have 20-man sessions of Goldeneye. We'd set the parameters to Golden Gun, so one-hit deaths would occur.

I usually sucked at the game, compared to my friends (I was never much of an N64 guy in general), so I would just try and get as many karate-chop kills as I could. It was surprisingly effective at times.

Goldeneye was the greatest split screen FPS ever. Actually, it almost single-handedly sparked the FPS revolution, along with Doom.

Due to complaints about my last signature having the incorrect use of "there" I am now changing it to fuck you.

I miss that game. When it came out it seemed like there was nothing else like it. I loved taking long range sniper shots, it was cool that you could just barely see the people, or not even see them, and fire at them in those guard towers.

I liked playing against my 2 friends, but I'd kick their ass because they didn't play much. It was usually both of them against me. I remember they were in that one room that was like a big control room with monitors everywhere, hiding behind pillars and stuff, and I was coming down those stairs and peeking into the room through the big door, and they'd shoot at me. I remember poking out for a second and firing two shots from my PP7 pistol or whatever and headshotting both of them dead, and they swore I was cheating some how, but I kinda got lucky. hehe.

That's a shitty answer. Goldeneye had both a great multiplayer mode and a great single player mode. Perfect Dark lacked in the single player area... and I found most of the multiplayer maps to be ugly and boring.

The added feature of some Computer AI wasn't a bonus. If I wanted to play against the computer, I'd just play story mode.

Don't get me wrong, it was still a good game, it just wasn't as good as Goldeneye. Given the choice, I'd choose Goldeneye a million times over Perfect Dark.

The throwing knifes were the funniest thing ever in that game.
Also the fact that you could hold a tank barrel... WHA???

Yeah... I played a few months ago though... and had to stop playing after 1 hour. The controller really hurts my thumb... I can't understand how the hell did I use to play for hours with those shitty controllers. The analog was so hard on the hands...

That was all we did really until Perfect Dark came out. When that came out, the multiplayer feature was a hell of a lot more fun to play, because of the AI that you could create and play against.

Not going to lie... I never ever played Perfect Dark o_o

I used to play that game endlessly. I got every secret and beat every level on the hardest difficulty to achieve the "007" rank.

And I must say -- Beating the Aztec level on the highest difficulty is probably the hardest thing I've ever done in a video game. I went back recently and tried it again and just getting past the first couple of rooms was immensely difficult. During my peak, I would play 3 against 1 with my friends and come out on top.

Was all that time spent playing the game worth it? Totally.

Exactly. I've had much more fun with that game in general than with any other Shooter FPS such as Halo. I wish they'd actually re-make the game on a new generation console :(

But like it says, that's one side of a two sided story. Nintendo doesn't want another game from the N64 to be screwed up by Microsoft. Just look at their way of remaking Conker's Bad Fur Day. Conker Live and Reloaded was horrible in comparison in countless ways.

I remember playing that game all the time. Unfortunately I never did own a n64, so I would just go over my friend's house who lived a block away from me to play it. Practically every day after school I would go to his house just to play. At first he would own me, but then somehow I eventually got better than him.

Ah, good times.

You've missed out then, man. Not for the single player mode, though. There was no way in hell that the single player mode in Perfect Dark compared to Goldeneye. When it came to multiplayer action though, I'd have to say Perfect Dark was pretty damn fun for the reasons I've already mentioned in my previous post.

Yeah, my roomate tried convincing me Perfect Dark was 32849239 times better than Goldeneye. It actually looks like a fun game. All the guns in Perfect Dark sound much more fun than the ones in Goldeneye 64, for the Multiplayer part at least. I'll have to try it sometime... but I'll probably find it boring after having played all the recent FPS :P

I think you can keep yourself extremely busy with the multiplayer action in that game, though. You can have up to I think eleven AI members against you if you're just playing yourself. You can mess with all their features, like body, head, and the actual difficulty of the AI.

I always ended up putting the head of the guy who looked like John Holmes on the alien body. It was a hilarious combination. He was a lethal little fucker too, because my buddy and I set him on one of the harder difficulties.

To get the first bonus level you compelete every level is secret agent difficulty, to get the last bonus level you have to complete them all in 007 difficulty including the first bonus level. After you do them all in 007 difficulty you get acces to the level editor (its not that good)

You can definatley say that is was "best movie spin of game ever." Movie games today suck. Transformers was ok on Wii because you got to throw shit around, but a lot suck.

The greatest FPS multiplayer game, period.

It HAS to come out on Virtual Console sometime... with Wi-Fi capabilities.

OR

They could just remake it exactly like it was, just improved graphics...
and with Wi-Fi capabilities.

THAT'S HOW THE WII CAN BRING IN EVEN MOAR DOLLAHS
