Enter/Exit Help?

Hello NG, i got a simple question...i think. Im making a madness day flash, and I'm new to flash so i dont know much about animating. Heres the question, how do u animate someone going through a door, like im using sprites and im wondering how i make it so like the guy goes to the door, and like one frame some of him is gone, then next frame more of him is gone, and then hes all gone, like he disappears as he passes through the doorway. Please respond i need help.

Find the "Add layer" button. Anything you draw on a frame that is above your sprite will, as such, be above the sprite.

Imagine: How would you do it with carton cutouts? Well, you'd make him go UNDER the cut out that indicates the viewer-side of the door. Same deal, except with digital layers.
