Trash Portal?

Has the flash portal become a trash portal it seems like everytime i on here more and more trash gets through while the good things get deleted. We need to make a special portal for all the "Adults Only" things can go. That way the flash portal has less trash in it and the pervs will all be there instead of the flash portal.

I agree with all the people who say things along the lines of the portal not being tight enough. Why do things with a rating of 1.5 or lower get through?

No, the people who submit Flash aren't the only ones who can fix it. The people who Blam and Protect need to Blam more. A lot more. Like, 80% of the shit submitted to the Portal should probably be Blammed, and yet fucktard traitors pass it for "free save points". Honestly, if they knew it wouldn't be Whistled (since there's only one thing they care about more than their Saves, and it's their Whistles), they'd Save a movie that logged you out of your account and redirected you to Last Measure. But anyways, if there were more people who actually watched the movie and voted fairly we wouldn't be in this predicament.

When I look at the portal, I think that my old cartoons that got blammed to fuck would probably pass now.

I've had an idea.
If your protect points are 10% higher than your blam points, you cannot get protect points until you get more blam points, and vice versa. The only exception is if your blam or protect points are below, say, 100.

My blam/protect score has remained stagnant for quite a while. I keep voting based on my personal standards of quality, not what I think everyone else will rate it.

What you may think is trash may not be trash to someone else. This goes all the way back to the infamous B flash by StrawberryClock. What you may think is disgraceful could be something really good to somebody else, you have to remember this.

Yeah, there is some level of subjectivity (some people would like, say, this movie, while others would call it spam) , but there's some things that obviously weren't protected because anyone liked them (LordZeebmork mentions a few in his most recent news post, and there's tons of others). B would have been blammed, but for glitch or administrative action. And a good share of the shit passing is the same way.

Actually, disregard that. You have to factor in that, while a niche community of Newgrounders might like B or some other spam movie for some reason, the vast majority will not. Look at the top 50 movies, which are a good indicator of what the average Newgrounder would give a 5 to. What do you see? Video game parodies like Smash Kingdom Melee. Popular NG series like Madness or Brackenwood. Combinations of the two, like SMBZ and Awesome. Great games by popular game artists. And from time to time hentai movies and games get on as well (think Zone's Teen Titans Hentai parodies). And then look at the kinds of movies many people have in their favorites, and the kinds of movies that get Review Crew Pick, since they're a good indicator of what people like. Admittedly some people have "non-mainstream" movies in their favorites, but if you take a look at the average user you'll find a lot of the same kinds of things that you'd find in the Top 50. From these you get a good look at the kinds of submissions the "average" Newgrounder would, after watching, vote to pass.

But a lot of the movies that pass aren't like that. It has previously been established that statwhores pass a lot of shitty, useless movies without watching. They are betraying NG by doing so, in that they are allowing movies to basically "get around" the B/P system without being actually judged by that portion of the userbase that actually Blams and Protects. Part of it is the low threshold between a Blam and a Save, but a larger part of it is a pure betrayal of the site by half-wits who would kill someone for a free Save.

Do some of you read the bulk of the whole post or do you just read the first part then post? Thats what most of these posts look like. Well anyway this is great and al but you guys just dont seem to understand exactly what im talking about do you? NO of course you don't. But, not to stray too far from the subject which is idiots on newgrounds. Its ok if they post some good flash that has no point, but posting complete garbage that looks like it was drawn in under 2 minutes and has no story just flashing pictures or something is the whole basis of this post. Part of this was the adult things my younger brother gets on here and i dont really want him to see all the things in the portal.
