This might seem like a stupid question for a member of the NGPD to ask but...

How many flagged reveiws or submissions does it take to increase your whistle status?
I am trying to raise mine above normal and I want to know how long it will take.

I don't know of any set limits. Besides, its also merit based, since the mods have to eventually get to the review, look it over then remove it. So if the mods aren't lazy and your flags are good, it will be a lot quicker than a backlog of reviews that suck.

We've had a nice, long discussion about this before. A correctly flagged review is +1. An incorrectly flagged review is -3. You need a total of +50 to go from normal is bronze. Beyond that is unknown. MrCrawford is right, though. How long it takes is up to how attentive the Review Mods are.

I want to make something perfectly clear, both to the NGPD and members of the EGB.

The NGPD isn't a branch of the EGB. We don't have any right to post here, give out unsolicited advice, anything---it's a privilege granted by the Department. The leadership and composition of the NGPD is the business of---and solely of---the NGPD, and we in the Barracks have no say in it. Just because our two clubs are allies, and just because the members here are lower rank than us, does not mean that they're subject to our authority. The rank system applies within each club, but not between them---meaning that the highest Supreme Commander in the Barracks has no say over a Police Officer in the Department. Apples and oranges.

While the Barracks will always be glad to help out the NGPD if requested, we know that the Department is capable of determining its own best interests, and we will let it conduct its own internal operations unless the commissioner specifically requests us to do otherwise. It's their business, not ours.

I don't think all our members will be honorably discharged for one reason : disinterest. I know that I'll grow a beard before I get to Private, and that could happen 3, 4 years from now. The truth is, I, and a bunch of other people, am a lazy ass, and probably won't get around to Private.

Hey guys, sorry I wasn't around yesterday, just finished my first flash. It's no work of art, but it is helpful (relates to abusive reviews) and it got a score of 3.20, which I'm amazed at considering that I have little discernible flash talent.

I think it will be a long time before I make another one though, if ever. That one was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment inspiration, just randomly decided to make it at around 3pm (Irish time) and had it uploaded within 3 hours.

Eh, he's new, and it was indeed unsuitable. But for future reference, don't ever say "FLAG THIS" You need to say "I think this should be flagged" and then let other people decide. Otherwise Tails will go apeshit on you and you'll find out the true meaning of terror.

BUT, and it's a big but, I watched that submission, and it contained scat, goatse, and all manner of other disgusting and pornographic images. Therefore I felt it was in no way redeemable and wished for it to be flagged so that it was not unleashed upon the portal.

Yeah, but I even addressed this issue in our FAQ multiple times. I don't want people getting the idea that we use our members' whistles to mass flag stuff.
