I've had my eye on the NG PD thread for a long while now, and I'd like to join! I think I have the required post quality.
I've got somewhere around 2,000 B/P points.

What else do I need to do, exactly?

Post Count: exceptional!
Post quality: erm.... I see a whole lot of one liners in there, some good posts also, but many, many one liners...

I'd have to say no right now. Of course Tails Has the final say in whether or not you will get in, Still I would reccomend that you put more thought into your posts, expand on what your thinking at the moment.. and if you can, try to stray from the general forum.

Anyway, right now, MY opinion is no, though you still have a chance! So I will wish you good luck and pass you along to tails, or whoever reviews you next :)

This might be a little off topic but what was the big deal between the NG mafia. The site only gave a little bit about l but I want to know as much as I can like was it made just because the NGPD was around?And what were they doing to the NGPD? It seemed like a blast to have a mafia at war with the police.

The only thing I was able to find after researching around the NGPD faq and site was that right after MrCrawford started it, there was some speculation that it was against the NG Mafia, but MrCrawford solved the problem. Othere than that I don't think they're connected to us in any way.

Actually, there were a couple of incidents involving NGPD members spamming the NG Mafia thread (god knows why). They were both given a royal kicking over it, but the tensions between the two threads were running high for months afterwards. Ergo, Tails saw fit to make it perfectly clear to everyone that the little raid on the NG Mafia was not condoned in any way. Hence the particular emphasis on that club as opposed to every other.

You're best off applying for the Elite Guard Barracks. Your badge is a bit too high for our little force here.The EGB is suited more towards the users with the rank of Private and up. But, your post quality is pretty bad. I see mainly +1 posts, single word posts even. I wouldn't expect the EGB to accept you unless you improve on your posting. ;)

Yeah that kind of posting would certainly not earn you a place in the EGB but hey you can always improve on things. Just do that and then try your luck at getting in to the EGB.

Yay, I have over 900 saves now :). I'm hoping to get 600 blams before I get 1,000 saves, should be able to do it. O' and don't worry Tails, I won't be blamming everything, just not voting on much good stuff.

Does the ratio between b/p really matter? I've heard several people talk about it. Is it just a pride thing or does it hold some sort of significance? I have 460 Saves but only 91 Blams, so if it's important than my ratio's really screwed up.

I don't really care about my ratio either. But your ratio can still be saved but I have almost 2,000 but only 200 blams. My ratio is far past saving.

No, it doesn't matter. I just like having an ok ratio and with Clock day coming up my saves are going to rocket up. So blamming as much as I can at the moment.

I going to blam any bad flash I could fine instead of getting so much saves so when clock day comes I won't have to resign.

Nothing. Now we wait for tails to wake up.

And while we wait...I have to disagree with Gamewiz's review. Your badge is great, your post count is amazing, and your posts themselves are 50-50. I see plenty of one-liners, but I see that you can actually dedicate yourself when you have too. Again, you're a maybe, but possibly yes. But just as gamewiz said, it's all tail's decision.
Anyway, good luck. (btw I'm not even in the NGPD, so if you want to disregard this review, go ahead. I'm a former member.)

Sorry, you don't have enough posts. The minimum requirement is 50, and they can't be one-liners which I see you made yourself a good friend of. Come back when you have over 50 posts, and then you can apply.

Actually, that's where you're both wrong. The EGB looks at a recruit's B/P ratio very intently. Sure Roger was let in, but that's because he's active and his posts are above average. But we did scrutinize his B/P ratio before making a final decision. :\ Potential recruits who have a 1:3 ratio, not too bad, but for those who have say a 1:56 ratio, then we might have a problem. :|

I stand corrected, I thought that it was one of the things that the EGB looks at but not one of the main things like post count or post quality. I was wrong, now I I'm really worried about my ratio, not bad now but I'll have to keep an eye on it from now on.

Right now my ratio is OK right now, but after clock day Its going to be WAY out of wack.

Thanks, Tails. I'll try my best to contribute, starting now. I've been trying lately to get the quality of my posts higher, and to stop posting only on General. It's a bad habit that started long ago.

Clock Day is my friend. I must have gotten 500 protection points on one Clock Day alone! It's probably one of the best days for protection points; I don't think any other NG event creates as much portal traffic. To this day, my B/P ratio is really screwy because of Clock Day 2008. I remember almost missing a Clock Day, and only got a few points.
Right now, I've been trying to seek out blam points. It's a lot harder than I remember. I think the overall quality of the work submitted must be higher this year than years past, and that's a good thing. I think Madness Day and Pico Day are second and third behind Clock Day for portal activity.

It's going to be my first Clock day also, just because for the last few years I've been on NG I have NEVER been as active as I have in the last year, let alone the last 10ish months.

Even if you DO miss most of clock day, you can get a good 25-50 points.
B/P ratio? I never knew it was much of a big deal. I tried to make it 50/50 when I first started, but I realized it's not easy to do.

Even if you do miss most of Clock Day, you're bound to get at least a few points. One of my Clock Days, I logged in early in the evening, and found out to my suprise that it was, in fact, Clock Day. Still, I managed to catch a lot of flash.
I was inactive for a lot of 09, and I missed a month here and there before that. It's hard to keep spending as much time online when real life starts to annoy you.

I've heard stories that people have voted 0 on every flash on Clock Day and only got 3 or 4 blam points. I can't remember how it went. Either way, Clock Day is not a good day for increasing your blam point score.

Well, this is my first Clock Day too, so I'm excited. I kind of know what to expect because of Lock day, but I realize that Lock day isn't nearly as popular. I actually didn't know of any special "days" and all that until Lock day, I was just randomly on and every flash was about Locks. Since Clock day is on the weekend, I should be able to get a ton of b/p (just p?), so I'm super happy about that.
