Afternoon everyone!

What an eventful week this has been for me. I can only apologise for my lack of activity over here, it's not the fact I'm not active... Mostly it's just because my motivation to post and just generally type out things, has disappeared. I don't want to post because there is no point. Whereas, with the roster... I like doing these because my post actually have a point and meaning towards them.

Anywho... As of today, the NGPD Roll Call has ended. I know which users to take off the roster, and there is... In total... 5 users who are being removed from the roster. However, because Jimmy is based in China, and as we all know... The Chinese republic have decided to block NG... He couldn't get to the Roll Call, so therefore, he will remain on the members list just not on the roster! However, I will not take anyone from this roster just yet. I will leave it.

I will take the names off the roster according to the Roll Call just before NEXT WEEKS roster :)

Speaking of the roster... It seems like the thread... You guys have been a bit inactive in the B/P area. Probably because it's that time of year with school and such. Man... I wish I could just turn off my computer and revise. BLEH! Oh well.

I had a long ass weekend, let me tell you what...oof.

You guys have been slow as hell this week, I'm amazed with my 13 b/p points making it on the list.

i think the slow week sort of did this to us all. there's just not much to say at times.

I still vote on five flashes per day, sometimes extra although as of recently there hasn't been much extra voting for me. I felt like I'd flagged a lot of abusive reviews over the last couple of weeks and I'm still not on that bronze whistle.

don't worry about this. it just takes a while for the whistle points to update. I've flagged countless reviews and every stolen flash i see, but it took several months for my whistle to go from normal to bronze. someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe there is a rather large backlog of flagged reviews, and the ones that get flagged the most get moved closer to the top of the list for the review mods.

I'm not all that certain about the backlogged flagged reviews, but Godsbitch, we do know for certain, it takes a total of 50 correctly flagged reviews to go from normal to bronze. That is all Tom was willing to share all that time ago. And again, I'm the Whistle Guru 'round these here parts. How do y'all think I got from bronze > Ag(silver) > Au(Gold) > Deity inside 6 months or so?

Well it didn't hurt that Porkchop, Krev, Lizz, a couple others already had Deity whistles. But I know what it is I am doing.

appears to be stolen. brand new account, but a google search produced a different game of the same name. the game also appears to be edited. I think it's stolen, but I can't find an original. was submitted with a gmail account.

If anyone's interested, I've decided to put the chapters of my Yu-Gi-Oh! GX fanfic in my own little corner of the writing forum. It's here for a reason, right? Tails, I hope to see you lurking around the writing forum or maybe posting your NGPD/EGB fanfic in your own little thread. Sure most of the users wouldn't know who the characters are, but that's half the fun.

Wow. That makes the 3rd week in a row I've managed to get 2nd place on the top 5. I either need to A. Step up and take gold for once or B. Just allow someone else to take second for once. I'm not even sure how I got so many the way school has been breathing down my neck. But by the end of this next week I should get active again. But don't expect much this week either. Next week is when I'm going to shine through. Well, either that or get second again. :/

Anyway, yeah, been a dreadful week for me. I personally can't wait till' it ends.

P.S. @Cobra: Remind me how fanfics of Saturday morning cartoons relate to Newgrounds in anyway? (not trying to be mean just trying to get you to wake up and smell the mods at our fucking door step. So really no offense. I wouldn't ever want to offend any one apart of this fine establishment)

For instance, there is a thread that is called "The Neverending Story" I've read half of it, and it's pretty cool. Of course the inevitable has happened a few times, where instead of checking if someone had already posted, they posted and thus the story had a fork in the road.

Cobra my man, maybe we haven't met. I love the writing forum. Hell, I not only contributed to a lot of The Neverending Story I also revised it, edited it, and am about launch the full version of it as soon as I get some feed back on it in the writing forum. And as much as I'd love to see the Writing forum getting some face time in front of the camera, I will most certainly not use that as an excuse to advertise it on the NGPD. If you wish to let fellow writers know of the writing forums existence than by all means use your sig or userpage but don't whore it out on the NGPD's Newgrounds thread, save it for the private forums at least.

And so please do not post so off topic. That's the only reason I have anything against you saying something about the writing forum. Because it does not pertain to anything about the NGPD or the portal. Now please, lets get back to that thing called protecting the portal.

Good. Now that we are back on track, I'd just like to say how active the portal has become. Is it me or has anyone actually noticed this? I mean sure I'm getting my average of 25 B/P per day, but over the past few days I've been getting 40 - 60 +. I'm like... Woah!

Over the past few days I've dropped from making every second post in the thread to seeming completely inactive, so I apologise, but I have been checking up on the thread often, and I read most posts that come through within ten minutes if I'm online at the time (which I, very often, am). It's a real contrast from when I try to hold back my posting so I don't end up overdoing it.

Anyways, yesterday was my second newgrounds signup anniversary, so I created a thread to commemorate it. Seeing as I'm posting in here I thought I'd drop a link to it. Next thing like that is in September 11th (D:), which will be the second anniversary of my initiation into the department - in exactly 199 days if my quick calculations are right. Funnily enough, this means that my apprenticeship started on a day that was both my father's birthday and 200 days after my signup. I'm looking forward to it, even if I'll have to wait a while.

I also discovered that the Misfits are still, without doubt, my favourite band evar. My music tastes are probably a bit too wide, me listening to doom metal, horror punk and slow/progressive rock. I'm listening to Static Age right now - it's at Angelfuck at the moment, great song. Might have a quick listen to Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn later, I've been into them a lot recently as well. But yeah, enough of the off-topic bullshit. I'm off for a while.

there seems to be some confusion here. looking in the EGB, it's clear that there's a lot more personal related stuff going on than in here, and everyone's cool w/ it. also, when slnt was in the NGPD, there also was a lot of personal stuff that was cool.

Yeah, since after the locking, personal stuff has been a bit of a No-No for the NGPD. While yes, I agree the EGB get away with it a hell of a lot more, and always do it... The NGPD are always picked on for it. I have never understood why the EGB can get away with it, yet you guys can't. It's stupid I know.

But it would hurt to be all the same now wouldn't it? :\

I personally think it should be posted in both threads as well. I mean, catching the stolen/malicious flash is the whole point of these clubs, apart from b/p. to give a really bad analogy, its like saying the the police shouldn't share memos about criminals with the FBI because it 'uses too much paper'. (I said it was a bad analogy).

It actually would be, to me, intuitive for it to go the other way. the junior club would be the one where people arn't as serious, have more of a good time, throw a bit of personal whatever in the posts, while the higher club would be the one everyone is all serious about, but that could just be me I guess, although I don't suspect so.

eh, if it were all the same then there wouldn't be as much point to the separate threads. sometimes I think the clubs should be a bit more inter-organized. more like one club with two divisions, that sort of thing. but they weren't originally organized that way, so I don't see that happening without a whole lot of effort.

When you've got your own 'delete flash' button, the blamming process would seem just a little on the superfluous side.

That said, Tom does have a few blams. Think about that for a second. There were, at one point or another, flashes submitted that were SO bad TomFulp himself saw fit to click the 'blam' button. Just imagine the shittiness necessary to get a reaction like that out of someone who could've just deleted the things right then and there. o_0

He has submitted games from three different sites now and on this site you can download the games. Another one of his submissions was stolen as well. (The one that I posted not too long ago) The game is in Chinese and the author speaks clear English.

that's a rather large problem that these are passing. he even put flash ads in, so newgrounds is going to pay him to submit stolen flash.

No, not necessarily. Technically speaking... The author of the flash is going to get the money. If he has just taken the flash off the website, and them put it on NG, the ads will still be registered to the original authors account, so one of two things may happen....

1) The author will still gain money for his ad earnings even though the flash is on NG
OR
2) The flash ads will not even work because the game has been uploaded to the NG servers and therefore the ads are not recognising that, so even if you click it a million times... No one is going to get any money.

Bleh. Either way... It's bad that they've passed :\
