French is my first language, and I had to learn english, but I did learn when I was about 10-12 so it was easy. My fiancee is trying to learn french right now and she uses the Rosetta Stone program and it works really well. French is pretty easy to learn the basics, but advanced french gets pretty hard, the grammar can be very confusing. If you know spanish though it should be a bit easier for you.

It's great that you want to learn another language, it can always be an asset. It earns me an extra 250 dollars every month because the military gives a bonus for speaking french lol. Free money is never bad.

I tried to learn Spanish over the course of the last five years or so. However, I was unsatisfied with the pitifully slow progress I was making I decided to not take it as a senior; I was in honors Spanish since freshman year, mind you. However, I seem to be somewhat interested in German...

Yes, that would make a lot of sense. You know, we used to have another Canadian who's also in the armed forces; not quite Marines though hehe. Yeah good ol Peregrinus, you'd recognize his name if you read the Hall of Fame. Come to think of it, I haven't seen him around here since I opened up this joint.

Ye, I don't think there's many Canadians that join the USMC, certainly even less French Canadians that join.

So yea, to answer your questions, I was born and raised in Quebec, Canada, for 18 years of my life, I don't have an accent cause I've been speaking english for so damn long and I am now an American Citizen as of November 2008.

I've been cutting off the B/P and trying to catch up on the medal points. Some of these games are driving me wackos.

My internet still fails too hard to do any real portal watching. I can only really load smaller flashes (which tend to be crap), so I'm not much use for the moment. Hopefully that'll change this weekend, but I'm not holding out much hope. The piece of garbage I'm typing this on is about 6 years old (and so is the internet connection).

In other news, the DD got their forum back from the FBI. Meh; as long as they weren't being as dumb as everyone thought, who cares? Hell, with it back, I'll likely be able to test out my ideas by this time next week, so if anything, I'm glad they got it back. >:D

There always will be, I leave for months at a time and sometimes just lurk for weeks without posting (like I am now, I too have been rather busy) and I'm still always there on the roster. Hell, Dejanus has been gone for at least a year now and he's still there.

I haven't done this in a looong while, so I apologize if I don't look at acceptance of new recruits in the same way that I used to.

Rank: Great. He seems like a pretty cool guy so I think it's a pretty good thing that he's only an officer.

Post Count: He has well over the required fifty, so no problems there. If you compare his sign-up date to the number of his posts, though, you'll notice that he has some real potential to become just another inactive placeholder on the roster.

Post Quality: I'm not going to look at this in the same bullshit way that everyone used to, I'm just going to be flat-out realistic about it. I think the quality of his posts are just fine. Sure he has lots of one-liners, but all of them looked at least longer than ten words, enough proof in my opinion that he takes at least a bit of time to think about what he's posting before he posts it. Besides, who doesn't have some one-liners in their post history here and there.

I say let him in, but I really don't care in the long run; I'm still not even familiar with most of the new members around here.

Quality- One-liner ridden. They're contributory one-liners, so I suppose you could say they're fine. They're mostly all in the Audio Forum, so I figure you're an aspiring musician. You could stand to post a bit in some of the other forums, though. :3 I'll say your post quality is fine, though, considering where and what you're posting.

I didn't get too far into the forums for a while, i think it was a few months after i started. Usually, I just submitted my music. I do post a lot in the audio forum now, a good portion of my posts are there. I do stray to other sections at times, but not a lot, which i should work on.

I agree with that. Yes, the posts are short, but remember: the rule is about post QUALITY, not necessarily length. Since most of his posts are still adequate in terms of contributing to the threads they're in, I'd say the short nature isn't a problem this time.

wow i haven't posted here since i gave a thank you for acceptance. so anyways, how has every one's day been? Frankly my day has been shitty. I hav ea friend who doesn't answer the phone, it was storming(and still is) all day and i itch like hell because of the chlorine.

Saturday 4th July 2009 - Independence day!
Well bollocks to it. I did this weeks roster. I'm now in Now York, and as my mother is resting after the flight, I realised that my hotel has Wi-Fi! Which is a good thing!

On a bad not however, I have two things which I am annoyed at:
1. Is that I lost my Deity whistle after only having it for a day. It was now gone back down to gold....I'm hoping that it will go back up!
AND
2. Its either that I didn't do the calculations properly because I am on holiday OR you guys just ain't trying no more! These numbers are poor, to say the least. Come on guys! (I do apologise if it is me that has done the calculations wrong....I am really sorry)
