You should definitely send it in. Sometimes you can get as lucky as to get it back within the fortnight. Limes took about 18 Months before getting the ring, With just the basic 360. Instead I sent it in, Then sold it, And bought myself the Elite. I'm hoping to avoid any rings now.

Leipzig and GDC are the ones that seem to be 'important' now.

Hey, rumour is Mass Effect 2 will have a full preview at E3 this summer so it's pretty important to me.

But yeah, Leipzig especially is the latest place to demo your games n shit.

I hope to god that Nintendo announces some block-buster games at E3, or else I'm putting my Wii in the closet and buying a 360.

Oh Come now, Software companies are opening up to the Wii this year.
Conduit needs no introduction.
Muramasa: The Demon Blade is planned this November.

But I wouldn't bet on Nintendo making anything of that caliber.

If they give some news of the Tales series or perhaps a Sonic game that doesn't look ridiculous at first glance, then E3 would be fulfilling enough.

Well, we already got Deadly Creatures and Madworld this year for this year, so we're not off to that bad of a start.

It's so nice to see the stick in your ass is getting to you're brain, You stuck up arrogant cunt. Seeing as my post was for a more singular personal opinion, then it was to provoke hostility, I can't see why you're are getting so offended by my comment. Really? I've always been told that they are just as bad (even thought I've had my Xbox for a few years and it has only had to be sent away once).

My original Pro lasted a solid 2 years. And then I got my Elite a while ago, Its been through a lot and its still going fairly strong. I mean, I dropped it and it came down hard. I use it a lot more than my Ps3, And its still never froze or anything at all!

So personally, Its fine.

I've had my Pro for nearly 2 years, and it's fine, so I'm not quite sure what everyone's bitching about.

Well your lucky then. 60% of the Pros had the Red Ring at some point in time. The elites only get a smidgen of that amount getting Screwed up. But still the occasional.

Also. I think some of us should post Right here, Its fun :)

I've had my 360 for about 2 months now, I think mine are one of the more newer editions, so I shouldn't fret about red rings.

Who here have played the Red Faction Demo? Man that game is classic and it makes you really come to grips how Gears of War practically revolutionised 3rd person shooting games, as the "cover" system in Red Faction is really poor, it's like the earlier shooting games like Syphonfilter or Deus Ex.
I like for that charm, but my friend liked it less.
Thoughts?

Hey, guys, I'm thinking about purchasing an Xbox 360 Arcade, what will I be getting for the price (200$)? Would you recommend buying it, or should I save up for a more expensive model?

Doesn't that come with a memory card and not a hard drive?
Dude, the memory card has like the same storage capacity of the Wii's internal memory, save up and buy a pro, that's the quality standard for non casual gamers.

I'd save up for a better system such as the Pro or Elite, depending on what your getting with the Arcade.

I started out with a Xbox Core (the older equivalent of the arcade) which didn't come with any storage device, so I bought a 64Mb memory card separately and it lasted me long enough. I had two separate accounts on the card, each with several Oblivion characters and saves for a couple of other games.

You could live with the Arcade for a while but eventually you are going to need a hard drive (especially if you want to play on Xbox Live). Looking back though, I'd have gone for the model that came with the hard drive if I had the money. I will cost you more in the long run if you choose to buy a hard drive.

Ever since I got a new 360 in late 2008, this new 360 has never given me one problem at all.

My old 360 also survived two years until it RROD, and I got it replaced for free.
