Thank god, a forum with a lounge that I can actually belong to.

Well, since I've been making some posts in this forum so far and I'm sure I'll be posting here regularly, I will participate in discussions in this regulars lounge.

Outside this forum, I regularly post in the Wi/Ht? and C&C forums and sometimes post in the General forum, but not as much as I used to post there back in 2005.

Anyway, onto some of the video game discussions here, some of you have talked about Dynasty Warriors 6. I have to admit, I am not looking forward to this game. I don't hate the series, but after playing on 4 and 5 of the series, I was disappointed. I had so much fun on the second game, but 4 and 5 just didn't impress me. :(

I recently quit WoW the fagfest and my mate gave me his Steam details so i've been playing CSS for the past week lol, his KD ratio is really bad, think i'm doing him some justice though :P

That's an inevitability, however with all the new people I've seen post in this thread, I actually think this place has a chance to be somewhat decent. A lot of good users have found it early on and that's important for when the masses find this place.

I sort of agree.

The good DW games were back in the day on the PS2.

You didn't have to do very much.

Not much confusion.

And the characters were awesome.

And the characters were awesome.

Comparied to the other games in the series, Dynasty Warriors 6 is like the god damn lightbulb being invented. The Musou modes are much better, although not everyone has one, and the upgrading system of grids is a great addition.

I still like the retro version.

There were like 5 characters and they did two things: pwn and pwn.

I think I'm gonna go try and find a friend with a PS2 that has the old versions.

I had to promise myself to not get it at launch simply because I didn't want to fall into the DW trap of thinking that it would be an almost completely different game with the additions and then come out of it disappointed when I remember that the gameplay is almost exactly the same as the previous installments. There's only so far they can take a game based on the the same control scheme and get away with it. I would like to see Koei try something different in their games, but they seem happy to just retool the same game over and over again without making too many drastic changes, and who can blame them when they know that anything with DW on it is going to sell.

There's actually three games coming before KH3, one for the PSP, one for the DS, and one for cell phones (mobile phones) that's probably gonna suck. But I'm looking forward to he PSP one, Birth by Sleep, I may get the DS one too. I just have to get those consoles first XD

I couldn't agree more. The later games felt really repetitive and I'd rather just play on a game I've been fond of. I did hear about this Gundam Dynasty Warriors, but didn't like the idea of it. But for the main games, I just wish they could think of new ideas for it rather than recycling stuff all the time. However, since that's not likely, I'm no longer interested in any new instalments to the series.
