Is it me, or is Slipknot's "Before I Forget" on hard mode in Guitar Hero III difficult? I just can't seem to do it (the best I've managed is 32%). The songs before it are comparatively more simple, and I can usually get passed them after a couple of attempts. But this song... djkdjajdhjdadhajjasdakl

Are there any pro tips?

Get your hands nice n sweaty, it makes it a bit easier for those GRY/YBO chord changes.

As a bonus, it also gets your hands nice n sweaty.

yeah, it is weird, it's the same with the number of the beast - the intro is just awkward.

You dirty boy, do you that before you play all your video games? I'm never playing COD4 with you again if you're sat there naked all sweated up.

I've had this problem as well. On easy and medium, it's not bad to play, but then on hard mode, it seems much much tougher. A few other songs have been like that on the game such as the one by Weezer and Smashing Pumpkins.

Hopefully it won't make my hands ache like hell like playing on The Number of the Beast on hard mode did to me.

The sweaty tactic has worked, as I have finally beat it.

It wasn't so much the chords (even though they were a problem) it was the beginning with the single G Y B notes repeating over and over again. Even with the aid of easy hammer-ons and pull-offs, it was still a major arse ache.

As a bonus, it also gets your hands nice n sweaty.

Bonus!!

No kidding. I would watch my rock metre fall, and I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong. The "notes" appear to move a fraction every time a new set come along; completely throwing you off course.

Oh yeah, My Name is Jonas really got me, too. As did QOTSA's 3's and 7's.

Now, thankfully, apart from Before I Forget, I now have a minimum of four stars on all songs in hard mode. I've started dabbling on expert, but am currently stuck at the first boss battle. Guess I'll have to wait until I become super cool on hard mode before I tackle expert again.

Yeah, it's kinda weird, but it took hours to beat Before I forget on hard mode, but I beat Cult of Personality on my first try. Was anyone else able to do this?

Hows this for an achievement?

Over 6 hours of play, 78 songs in a row a roomate and I finally completed the endless setlist in Rockband.

After having started and stopped 20 songs in we finally completed it starting at 5pm and ending at 1am we were broadcasting live on the internet the entire time and we decided to record the final song of the 6 hour ordeal.

I'm stuck in a rut with games now. I'm just in limbo until GTA4 comes out in which I will again be interested in games, but until then I'm just going from game to game trying to keep myself from going insane from boredom. This summer lineup is also looking good with Ninja Gaiden 2 and now that I'll be getting a PS3, MGS4 is going to be awesome. Just gotta hold out for 3 more weeks now.

I fell like it's going to be just like all the other Mario kart games that came out in the past. (Besides the two people in one kart) :/

You're ahead of me then. I've only got four stars on the first two tracks so far, lol. I still need more practice, most especially on the harder songs...Actually, I think I need to take a break from GH3 for a while. My sister recently got Super Mario Galaxy and I've not once touched it thanks to GH3. :S

I've started dabbling on expert

I did have one actual go at expert, but still sucked. Other times, I just play on Raining Blood and Through the Fire and Flames on expert mode just to laugh at how badly I play them.

Your are the 11th ranked assasin (11th best). You then go to kill the next 10 in order to become the best. Very violent and random. All of your battle cries somehow references fruit cake (i.e. strawberry shortcake!). You can slice enemies in half and have blood splurt anywhere, or you can do a variety of wrestling moves on them. Really great game, it really shows off Suda 51's genius.

No, most of them are free, if they were to gain money off it it would be theft.
I think it might be theft anyway? Not sure, but yeah, private servers are only fun if you've played the real game otherwise it's all you know and you don't know how much better it is.
