I use Lucas because he has both short-range attacks (PK Freeze, PK Fire) and long range attacks (PK Thunder). His only real weakness is PSI Magnet, which really serves to purpose when playing against more than 1 person.

Captain Falcon is my best. His Knee attack is crazy!!!

hmmm it's hard to decide since i can't find my copy but from what i remember(haven't seen it for three months or so) i would say meta knight especially when he's DARK META KNIGHT oh and im best with the gamecube controler

My main is Ness.
My secondary is Lucas.

First off, I love the game Earthbound, so it naturally draws me two these two characters. Secondly, they're hard to master (especially their recoveries), and I have to say I'm very happy with the progress that I've made with both of them. However, Ness and Lucas are not the same character. Although similar, they have several differences, so I mained as the one that I felt most comfortable with, which ended up being ness.

I use a variety of characters. Zelda, Meta Knight, Captain Falcon, Pikachu, and Lucario. I prefer the Wiimote+Nunchuck, but I modified it a little.

I like Sonic but what would Brawl be like with . . . . .

He's like falco but stronger xD

I see that Samus is a favorite to some others and I think she's fairly good, but would Dark Samus be better? She or it would particularly be like a powered up samus thats completely evil.

I like pit... lol he has a spam mele attack, a spam range attack, and he has wings... What doesn't he have?

My favorite is Marth; his attack range and hit percentage are great. His speed is also what makes him great at handling.

Snake - Mortardashing is VERY satisfying against man or computer.
Zero Suit Samus - My only "fast" character, and I can quickly gain control of a match with her when I set my opponent up with her suit pieces.
Lucas - More versatile than Ness ever was (my opinion of course. (Parentheses in parentheses lawl.))
Mario - Mained ever since the original. Nostalgic and you can never go wrong with a reliable spike and moves that can ward off oncomers when used correctly.
Captain Falcon - Used solely for Falcon Punches, Falcon Kicks, and "Show Me Ya Moves".

my best characters are kirby link lucario and ice climbers (i need a little practice with ice climbers though) but i like to play on random a lot

My favorite is Zero suit samus for multiple reasons:
1-Really fast and agile
2-also very light
3-armor pieces do 10% each
4-Male opponents seems to have trouble playing with only 1 hand

also, I use the wii remote + nunchuk, my controls are customized.
D-pad for my smashes
A for normal attacks
B for specials
Z for the shield
C for the grab
Up tilt for jump
1 and 2 for taunts

try it, its awesome!
