My two mains are Ike and King DeDeDe. I like using the Wiimote sideways. Both characters are pretty slow but I like their powerful smash attacks. I like using Ike better in 1 on 1 because he is slightly faster.

If you're talking about newly added characters I don't know maybe meta knight or Lucas.
Characters in general Shiek/ Zelda , Link, Kirby, and Marth.
I use a wave bird GC controller but I have a friend that uses remote and nunchuk and my brother tried to get used to it but he uses a GC controller basically. Those two choices seem to be the most popular with the people I've played with.

Even I'm not that big of an ass.

My best characters are
Marth- decent power also pretty quick
Ike- excellent range and nice power
Sonic- great speed and does good damage after you master him
Snake- i use him when fighting more than 1 person its fun just using the rocket launcher

Well so far this has gotten 71 replies, so I'd say there must be some point to it.
As for me, I would say Snake (not from playing experience, since it's not out in PAL territories yet...grrr).

I mostly use Marth, because he was in my best in Melee, and he's easier to use for me in Brawl. My other favorites are Ike and Metaknight.

Also, I use the GC controller.

My favourite characters are Ganandorf and Wolf. Simply they have great combinations. In SSBB, Pit has very fast moves but they're fairly weak.

im trying to master Snake and Sonic, which are like opposite, because Sonic is about speed and hit-and-run, and Snake is sneaking, strategy and tactical.

i use nunchuck + wiimote, i played SSBM, yes, but once you get the hang of the wii+nunchuck, its very ergonomic and sensitive in movements
