BlueHippo and I discussed that the aspect of the movie was to promote drugs. The movie is on right now coincidently, and looking at it I don't get that feeling. I believe the writer was probably on drugs when he wrote the book but the movie is just for kids.

lol apparently the guy that wrote had an obssesion with the little girl that was Alice in his story. Her mom forbid her to see him when it was published. He loved little girls and took nude pictures of them with their and their parents consent. Lol BlueHippo sent me something like that. It was rather funny.

But yes there was something very dark about Alice. I can't remember what it was though.

It's a brilliant and entertaining movie that I am surprised actually got released, my only dissapointment was that it was missing key parts from the book. But of course time restrictions are a factor when putting the story from a book into a movie.
