The thing about spammers is that it's all a ploy to snag attention, be it positive or negative. If anything, sending them messages informing them that you're trying to police them is only acknowledging that their spam is successfully creating a scene, thereby only making them want to spam more.

I mean, it's a noble cause that you're shooting for and all, but somehow I think that making more friends and impressing people with their posts isn't the primary concern of forum spammers.

It's kind of a crew that's been done time and time again to essentially no avail. By all means, try though. All I know is that were I a spammer who didn't listen to the forum moderators, I certainly wouldn't listen to a crew consisting of a bunch of members with no real power or status - no offense.

To Chromius:

We understand that some spammers will never listen, but making a crew and adding more power, hell it could work. I'm not saying this will be successful, but this crew will hopefully not pass away very early though. I for one, will keep on doing of what I am suppose to be doing in this crew to make it successful.

There will be a time when some spammer will be coming into this crew and spam this whole topic. We really don't care, and I will never correct a spammer. If I correct him, he'll hate me. That's not what I want, I'll just let him keep embarassing himself, until he realises that it isn't cool. I have a link to a person who got arrested for spamming, like e-mail and forums. He's put to jail for 26 years. You see, it may be fun and all but it could lead to consenquences.

We want Newgrounds to be fun, rather than idiots messing the whole damn thing up. Some users will stand by us and we'll accept anybody who comes here and tries to help us. Hell, you can help us if you want to.

In conclusion, we'll spot the spammers and some more later on today and once we spot them, we'll be doing nothing but laughing at them. They are just young kids, and I know young kids won't stop at anything so we'll just wait and see if they will mature up a bit. And if we see they improved with their grammar and spelling and not a whole lot of spam, then we'll take them off the "List of Fags."

So you'll be accepting anybody who wants to come in and laugh at a relatively arbitrary list of users who will someday probably stop spamming out of their own will anyway? I must say I had my doubts before, but I think they might be even worse now.

If you had read any of my previous posts you'd realise thats not what im going to do, also the list will tell people who to ignore, and if they keep at it make complete shit of them till thhey never want to show thier face again.

Not at all, i have PM'd some people already, but am yet to get a reply. Once someone responds, depending on thier reaction, ill see whats going to happen. For all i know after talking to them they might gain a little sense. to start with you have to be nice to them, theyre not going to respond to anger, only negativly. If that doesnt work ignore them, if that doesnt work make shit of them. We're not saying we can magically transform all these users into upstanding citizens, but for example if it takes 1000 posts for them to mature, maybe we can speed it up to 500 posts. Just giving them a shove in the right direction.

True enough, I don't think I started to make sense until I had around 500 posts, but I was already using some decent grammar when I joined. If anyone doesn't believe this statement, go into your posts, and then check your first 50 posts on the forums. Chances are that you acted like a complete retard, and got flamed quite often.

I'll tell you the truth, I've never acted like a retard. But I was mis-understandable, and I did get flamed a few times. Ever since that "I hate 13 year olds" thread I've been this way all the time. I do sometimes act like a dumbass, even to this day when I don't see things going my way.

It's that we know who we can ignore. You can't say "Oh I don't like so and so because of one spelling mistake!" But you can say you can to attempt to ignore so and so because they need to learn to spell by themselves.

It's all very noble what you're doing, but if you see someone spamming, just ignore them and carry on with your life. We don't need a club to tell us to do just that. :\

I get where your coming from, ignoring them has worked in the past but it still takes a long time for them to mature, im just trying to speed up the process by talking to them a bit, noone does that, people just tell them to "fuck off" and "GTFO my interent". Noone wants to talk to them cause they dont care. I care though. And if it doesnt work, and this turns out to be a big waste of time then hey, no big deal. Its not like we've made anything worse ;)

Let the mods take care of it, sure, they dont all the time, bring it to the admins. Sure, they don't always respond, but have a lot of people e-mail the admins.

Amazing, I've never seen a attempt to help the BBS work so well. You make me proud, guys. Right now, I'm working on a FAQ, and I need a few questions that'll be added in it. Feel free to ask anything related to this.
