My orthodontist or whatever they're called told me my teeth are effed. he told me that they have :

* OVERBITE ( I HAVE 90 %, 10% IS NORMAL )
* CROSSBITE
* MISSING TEETH
* TEETH THAT NEVER GREW IN
* TEETH THAT GREW OVER TOP OF A BABY TOOTH
* THE MUSCLE CONNECTING THE UPPER LIP TO THE GUMS GREW UNDER MY GUMS, CAUSING :
* S P A C I N G
* FangS
* CHIPPED

So now i need braces for 2 and a half yrs. a retainer for 6 months, and a permanent wire behind my bottom jaw. The bill was 6000 dollars ( lucky we have insurance, which pays 2500 of that ) and I have to go in every 6 weeks for the entire treatment. I can't eat licorice, caramels, chips, pretty much anything good. To make sure my teeth aren't yellow as hell and effed up when they come off, 2 cleanings at the dentist a month and i need to brush at least 3 times a day. ( I only do 1 or 2 usually! 3 times!?!!? AT LEAST!?!?!? ) Anyways, my teeth are f*cked up.

that sucks my teeth are bad to the point where my molars(sp?) are about rotten out i had horrible tooth aches, but man that totally sucks i've heard braces hurt.

Agree, you should have brushed your teeth more often, not bitten on any hard things, you should not have gotten into face-breaking fights, and you should have done a barrel roll.

i have crossbite, 2 teeth that were NEVER in my mouth. and 1 tooth that is slightly chipped.

Yeah. My orthodontist said the same thing. It doesn't matter though. I eat gum, caramel, popcorn, chips, you name it. And I haven't had any problems yet.

But yeah, I had a few of the same problems as you do. Don't worry, it's only 2 1/2 years. If you do what the dude tells you to do, you'll be fine. This is my third time with braces, since I didn't wear my retainer. You should most definitively wear your retainer though, or else your parents flip out when they hear they gotta pay $2,000 just because you never bothered to put in your retainer.

I'm so lucky because I never took care of my teeth as a kid yet they turned out perfect. Just wanted to throw that in your face.

i had to get 6 teeth pulled out once.
its cos i had two rows of teeth on my bottom jaw.
right now i have squint teeth, still, and xtra teeth but thats all.

look on the bright side, ur teeth will be perfect when u grow up to the right age. i think.

I also have to wear braces for 2 and a half years, but I pay a lot less than you do and I can eat most of the stuff you listed.

I was a class C I believe,
A terrible overbite, had teeth that grew infront of my baby teeth, overlapping teeth, chipped teeth, and my jaw wasn't wide enough..

I had expanders for a month or two, because I expanded them when I wasn't suppose to..
Then I had braces, had to wear rubber bands for a month or so, then a year later, I don't even thing it was a year later even, I got my braces off, Had to wear invisaline for 3 months, had a permanant wire behind my bottum teeth, and I have to wear top invasaline at night..

=] it wasn't too bad... kind of hurt, but I'm happy with my teeth, they were FUCKED.

Man, by the sound of it, anyone could've told you you had bad teeth. Lol, at least you're getting them fixed, just have to wait a few years before they look good.

Bad teeth = big turn off to the ladies, or at least to me.
