Various councils over the years have edited the bible to suit there interpretation, and emitted things that go against their personal views.

And I recall learning about some pope or other ordered the burning of various gospels, because he didn't like how it made Jesus appear.

And catholics are different than Christians? i do believe it that Catholics were the main branch of Christianity and then the other "system of beliefs" of Christianity branched off from the main trunk of the cut down tree of Christian faith. Evolution is the answer to how not why. Also, why would you argue against such a positively proven thing such as evolution. All you Bible-Thumpers should be arguing against Abiogenesis, not Evolution.
