I'm looking for a camera that isn't for beginners, but isn't made for 100% professional use.
I understand using a normal digital camera would be best practice, but I'm looking for a higher quality camera.
thanks to anyone who can help me out.

If you want to get into Photography and think you will stick at it I suggest you get a Digital SLR. If not just try get a decent digital. Try use film aswell as digital because personally I think using film gives you some nicer images. Just try to use some film aswell as digital.
This is my camera by the way. Taken at a party hence the shirt.
